On September 11, I'll be thinking less about the World Trade Center and more about my father and the relentless -- probably unique -- ability of New York City to bury its dead and move on without a backward glance. My father was born in Manhattan in 1923, in a tenement building off Columbus Circle. A few years later, he moved to Brooklyn, a borough that was considered the country back then, a place that had more horses than cars. By the time he left there for good in 1966, it wasn't the country anymore, that's for sure. He worked for Sea-Land, a shipping company that was one of the World Trade Center's original tenants, and one of my very earliest memories is of my older brother and me playing in the company's unfinished offices in one of the towers before the complex opened to the public in 1973. Like many, probably most, New Yorkers, my father hated the Twin Towers at first, preferring the Chrysler and Empire State buildings, which had gone up during his childhood. He'd seen King Kong when it came out in 1933, he explained, and he just couldn't see the big ape climbing the towers. By the late '70s - after Philippe Petit tightrope walked across them, George Willig scaled them, Owen Quinn parachuted from them, and King Kong himself had been shot off them in a 1976 remake - he'd come around. After getting off the PATH train I decide to take another World Trade Center update video. Again I walk around the entire complex to see what work has been done since my last visit. The work is moving very fast. The tower steel is now at the 65th floor and glass is up to the 37th floor. Tower 4 has also got taller since I was there. Now there is also glass starting at the very bottom of Tower 4 which shows that progress is being made. Also progress is being made at the memorial. I also noticed 2 helicopters hovering around the Freedom Tower. I guess they are news helicopters. I decided to go back out to the World Trade Center site one evening to see what progress has been made. As I said in my previous video I am glad to see that progress is moving forward at a fast rate now at about 1 or 2 floors per week but I am very sad about those lost on 9/11 and my heart goes out to those people who where lost on that horrible day. After getting off the PATH train I decide to walk around the entire site to get the progress from every angle possible. I also decided to ask a worker what the status was on One World Trade Center. He told me that they are up to the 56th floor and the steel is starting on the 58th floor. He also told me about the glass that starts on the 20th floor and said to count the panels which I counted up to 27 so the glass is up to the 27th floor but on the south face glass is going up on the 28th floor. So as I walk around I caught a few cranes moving things around the complex for the workers. I was also able to see through a small hole in the fence of tower 2's basement. As I continue to walk around I eventually end up at the Hudson River where we see a beautiful sunset shot of The Statue Of Liberty, Jersey City, Hoboken and back to One World Trade Center. Where is the missing 1200 feet of heavy building materials? It was vaporized according to the engineering firm that built the buildings (and helped engineer the demolition of them). Controlled demolition turns buildings into dust at near freefall speed, not 'collapses'. Steel dust? That requires far more energy than a collapse event could produce and still have near full gravitational acceleration (violates conservation of momentum/energy). The buildings were demolished with well placed explosives ..... without a shadow of a doubt, as clear as it can get.

Demo video of the development of the Demolition feature for Blender 2.5x/2.6. The main purpose of this video is to prove the capabilities of my physics system development, if any. It is not intended to prove or disprove 9/11 conspiracy theories. This test case scenario needed 10 minutes per frame to calculate geometry deformations and additional 5 minutes to render the image. The test system was an Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition with 3,33 GHz, 12 virtual cores and 12 GB of RAM.
