World War 2 Video Sad

Music listed below. Focus only on the video and nothing else for maximum effect. Just a little montage I put together. It chronicles the Allied/Axis conflict in Europe. This video has drawn alot of political/morale debate. Please remember, everyone has their opinions, please be respectful of that. Also, a lot of people ask where I got the clips from, I simply got them off of the youtube site. I am in no way taking credit for any of the footage, I simply put the pieces together. I recommend to you to go out and find these clips and watch them. I simply made this video as a tribute for the sake of war. I wanted to create a piece of art, nothing more, nothing less. Music is "Hear Our Prayer" by Yuki Kajiura Kajiura is simply one of the best OST Artists ever. Doing the soundtracks for such titles as Noir, El Cazador De La Bruja, and Tsubasa Chronicle. Very good instrumental work, and the music goes perfectly with the pictures in this video.
Here Is Germany: World War 2 Propaganda Documentary Film Directed by Frank Capra (1945)

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org Here is Germany was a 1945 propaganda documentary film directed by Frank Capra. Like its companion film, Know Your Enemy: Japan, the film is a full-length exploration of why one of the two major Axis countries started World War II and what had to be done to keep them from "doing it again". The film opens with scenes of everyday life in Germany, described by narrator Walter Huston. It shows people such as housewives, mailmen, farmers and policemen at work, and notes that these people were not so different than us, and seem like people Americans can understand. Anthony Veiller then interrupts with "Or can we?", as the film then switches to a montage of Nazi concentration camps and piles of dead bodies. The narrator notes that this is not the only time that Germany has unleashed war on the world, stating that while its generation fought the "Nazis", its fathers fought the "Huns" (pejorative term for Germany during World War I), and its grand father remembers the "Prussians". The narrator claims that its was all part of the same German lust for conquest. Going even further back 150 years, the film informs us that while America, Britain, and France were forming their democratic traditions, Germany was a group of 300 medieval feudal states, not one of them with a constitution or parliament. The film traces the rise of Prussia from Frederick the Great through Bismarck, telling the audience that the Prussian state was dominated first by ...

The True Glory: American-British World War II Documentary Film (1945)

DVD: www.amazon.com WWII films: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The True Glory was a 1945 co-production of the US Office of War Information and the British Ministry of Information, documenting the victory on the Western Front, from Normandy to the collapse of the Third Reich. Although many individuals contributed to the film, British director Carol Reed is normally credited as the director. The film was promoted with the tagline, "The story of your victory...told by the guys who won it!" The documentary is notable for using multiple first person perspectives as narrative voices, somewhat in the manner of Tunisian Victory, except this time, instead of just an American GI and a British Tommie, the voices include a Canadian, a French resister, a Parisan civilian family, an African-American tank gunner, and several female perspectives including a nurse, and clerical staff. The film is introduced by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe, and many other prominent individuals appear in it including General George S. Patton. Sir Carol Reed (30 December 1906 -- 25 April 1976) was an English film director, most famous for directing The Third Man, Odd Man Out and The Fallen Idol. He won the Palme d'Or in 1949 for The Third Man and the 1968 Academy Award for Best Director for Oliver!. He embarked on an acting career while still in his teens, but soon went into the role of producer/director, and was responsible for The Stars Look Down (1939), Kipps ...

World War II with Walter Cronkite - The Seeds of War - Part 1/11

Episode 1: "From Kaiser to Fuhrer", first part This is a really epic documentary series released in 1983 by Cronkite's Broadcast Studio (you know which one). This particular episode deals with the fundamental causes that led to the rise of the Nazi party in Weimar Germany in the run up to World War 2. The audio gets off a little bit towards the end of the video, but it's only noticeable when Mr. Cronkite is talking. I fixed it for subsequent parts. My collection of this series is all on Beta tapes apparently once purchased by my parents. The tapes are not numbered in any way, and the episodes deal with individual topics rather than going in chronological order, so I'll do my best to upload them in some sort of sensible sequence. It may, however, take quite some time to upload them all.

Who Started World War II? by V. Suvorov 1/4

This is Viktor Suvorov's book presentation at the United States Naval Academy on October 7, 2009, part 1 of 4. Part 1/4 www.youtube.com Part 2/4 www.youtube.com Part 3/4 www.youtube.com Part 4/4 www.youtube.com In his recent book "The Chief Culprit" the bestselling author Viktor Suvorov probes newly released Soviet documents and reevaluates existing material to analyze Stalin's strategic design to conquer Europe and the reasons behind his controversial support for Nazi Germany. He argues that Stalin was caught just days before launching his own assault into Central Europe. Thus the Red Army's offensive posture rendered it uniquely vulnerable to German attack. A former Soviet army intelligence officer (true name Vladimir Rezun), the author explains that Stalin's strategy leading up to World War II grew from Vladimir Lenin's belief that if World War I did not ignite the worldwide Communist revolution, then a second world war would be needed to achieve it. Stalin saw Nazi Germany as the power that would fight and weaken capitalist countries so that Soviet armies could then sweep across Europe. Suvorov reveals how Stalin conspired with German leaders to bypass the Versailles Treaty, which forbade German rearmament, and secretly trained German engineers and officers and provided bases and factories for war. He also calls attention to the 1939 nonaggression pact between the Soviet Union and Germany that allowed Hitler to proceed with his plans to invade Poland, fomenting war in ...

WWII In HD Colour: The Gathering Storm

The series starts with that great paradox. How could the settlement at the end of World War One - the 'war to end all wars' - lead to an even greater conflict just a few years later ? The answer is a tale with terrible resonancy today. This film shows how the Great Depression sapped the will of the democracies of the West to face up to a new and disturbing political phenomenon - the rise of militaristic dictators, in Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain. The result was that the major powers ignored all the warning signs and allowed the likes of Mussolini and above all Hitler to begin the course that would lead the world into catastrophe. The programme ends as Hitler plots his attack upon Poland.

Here Is China Part 1 - World War II Documentary - Second Sino-Japanese War (1944)

The Second Sino-Japanese War (July 7, 1937 -- September 9, 1945) was a military conflict fought between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. From 1937 to 1941, China fought Japan with some economic help from Germany (see Sino-German cooperation (1911--1941)), the Soviet Union (1937--1940) and the United States (see American Volunteer Group). After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the war merged into the greater conflict of World War II as a major front of what is broadly known as the Pacific War. The Second Sino-Japanese War was the largest Asian war in the 20th century. It also made up more than 50% of the casualties in the Pacific War if the 1937--1941 period is taken into account. Although the two countries had fought intermittently since 1931, total war started in earnest in 1937 and ended only with the surrender of Japan in 1945. The war was the result of a decades-long Japanese imperialist policy aiming to dominate China politically and militarily and to secure its vast raw material reserves and other economic resources, particularly food and labour. At the same time, the rising tide of Chinese nationalism and notions of self-determination stoked the coals of war. Before 1937, China and Japan fought in small, localized engagements, so-called "incidents". Yet the two sides, for a variety of reasons, refrained from fighting a total war. In 1931, the Japanese invasion of Manchuria by Japan's Kwantung Army followed the Mukden Incident. The last of these ...

African Americans in World War II: A Legacy of Patriotism and Valor - Part 1 (1997)

1997 www.amazon.com Watch the full film: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The US armed forces remained segregated during World War I. Still, many African Americans eagerly volunteered to join the Allied cause following America's entry into the war. More than two million African American men rushed to register for the draft. By the time of the armistice with Germany in November 1918, over 350000 African Americans had served with the American Expeditionary Force in on the Western Front. Most African American units were relegated to support roles and did not see combat. Still, African Americans played a minor role in America's war effort. Four African American regiments were integrated into French units because the French suffered heavy losses and badly needed men after three years of a terrible war. One of the most distinguished units was the 369th Infantry Regiment, known as the "Harlem Hellfighters", which was on the front lines for six months, longer than any other American unit in the war. 171 members of the 369th were awarded the Legion of Merit. 157th IDRed Hand flag drawn by General Mariano Goybet The 371st and 372nd African American Regiments were integrated under the 157th Red Hand Division commanded by the French General Mariano Goybet. World War II America (Battle Hymn of the Republic)

The Hymn has been sung at the funerals of such people as; the British hero Winston Churchill, Robert F Kennedy and Reagen to name a few. It was written amid the chaos of the American Civil War, and since it's conception has been an important part of our country's soul. When sung beautifully, it often brings tears to the eyes of real Americans.

Secrets of World War II -- What Really Happened to Rommel

Secrets of World War II -- What Really Happened to Rommel This film chronicles the career of Germany's most brilliant World War II tactician. Field Marshall Erwin Rommel (1891-1944) was nicknamed the "Desert Fox" for his brilliant leadership of German troops in North Africa. He had an unbroken string of victories until defeated by General Montgomery's much larger forces in Egypt. This documentary contains film clips of the famed "Ghost Division" and rare footage of Rommel's state funeral. The question of Rommel's fate is addressed: was he murdered, or did he commit suicide? It is known that he became convinced that Germany would lose the war and that Hitler should relinquish power. Rommel's involvement in the plot to oust Hitler is examined, along with the intrigue surrounding Rommel's death. See my account for more documentaries about the Second World War.

Target for Today

The War Department First Motion Picture Unit Army Air Forces Target for Today AVA11757VNB1 - 1944 - TF I-3384 Official Training Film From The Wikipedia Entry: Target for Today is a 1944 documentary film billed as being filmed by and acted by the United States Army Air Force, all while under fire. It was directed by William Keighley. The film documents the October raids made by the Eighth Air Force on targets in Anklam, Marienburg and Gdynia in Poland, all industrial centers for the Nazi war machine. The raids were made by B-17 and B-24 heavy bombers. General Hap Arnold called the series of attacks "the greatest strike ever". According to Arnold, they helped cripple German aircraft production and signaled the beginning of the end for the Luftwaffe. The documentary documents these three air raids from planning, to briefing, preparation, and then reveals in unparalleled sequences the brutal battles waged at 30000 feet.

That competition is going on. And that is the cause of war. Those who are aware of the history, the two big wars in your Europe was started by German people because they are very much envious of the English people. The Germans, they could not do business throughout the whole British Empire. We know, Indians. So they are very much envious of these British people, and therefore they started two big wars, world war. So if we collect more... Now the British Empire is finished. So if we collect more, if you want to acquire more, then other becomes jealous. And in this way, our jealousies increase, and that is the cause of war, that is the cause of fight. But if you are satisfied with your minimum or maximum needs, nobody will be jealous. Just like an elephant is eating forty kilos of foodstuff at a time. We cannot eat even one-fourth kilo, but we are not envious of the elephant because we know he needs to eat so much. Neither the elephant is envious to us. So whatever you need you can collect, you can eat--but don't take more. Then according to the God's law, you become criminal, you are punishable. That is God's law. (break) It is a common sense. Out of these two, the communists are going to be powerful. This is the world tendency. So if the world becomes full of communists, then the human civilization will be finished. All rogues and rascals, that's all. The American government wants to check this tendency. But they cannot check it if they remain "so-called trust in God." That will not be possible. So according to our proposition... Not only now, it is forever. Two classes of men are there: sura and asura. Surasura. Visnu-bhakto bhaved devah. Deva and sura, the same thing. Asuras tad viparyayah. And the asura, or the demons, godless. So if the Americans remain godless in the name of so-called trust in God, they will not be able to check this communistic movement. They will not be able. Now, if they are serious to check this communistic movement, save the American country as well as the whole world, then they must be very serious to understand what is God and what is trust in God. Otherwise this communistic movement will finish the civilized human society. So you are thoughtful. They must be very serious about it. Named Black Thursday because the loss of aircrewmen was the highest for any USAAF mission. The American Official History of the Army Air Forces in the Second World War acknowledged losses had been so heavy that the USAAF would not return to the target for four months; "The fact was that the Eighth Air Force had for the time being lost air superiority over Germany." The film Twelve O'Clock High (1949) dramatized a similar, but fictitious, air raid. The Schweinfurt--Regensburg mission was an air combat battle in World War II. A strategic bombing attack flown by B-17 Flying Fortresses of the US Army Air Forces on August 17, 1943, it was conceived as an ambitious plan to cripple the German aircraft industry. The mission was also known as the "double-strike mission" because it entailed two large forces of bombers attacking separate targets in order to disperse fighter reaction by the Luftwaffe, and was the first "shuttle" mission, in which all or part of a mission landed at a different field and later bombed another target returning to its base. After being postponed several times by unfavorable weather, the operation, known within the Eighth Air Force as "Mission No. 84", was flown on the anniversary of the first daylight raid by the Eighth Air Force.
