The City of Lake City recently honored local resident Harry Wuest and his late wife Margaret with the dedication of a magnolia tree. Mrs. Wuest was instrumental in the creation of Alligator Park, where the tree will be planted along with a plaque. Mr. Wuest has long contributed his musical talents to the area and was on hand to receive a proclamation and speak to the audience on hand.

30 secs of Jim Wuest @ Delray's City Limits sorry it isn't longer but my phone didn't have much space anyway, Jim Wuest (The Heavy Pets) put together a sick group of musicians for a special evening of some serious funk. Jim brought a solid display of his originals along with a hand full of tasty covers. Jim flew in Mike Kammers (MK Groove orchestra, 12-piece big band outta Brooklyn) to play sax and Jamie Newitt (Spontaneous Underground, a U.Del funk band) for drum detail. These are good friends of his that he couldn't say enough about. Fellow Pet, Joe Dupell, filled in the low end like we all know he could. Local superstar, Chad Bernstein (Suenalo, Spam), will rounded out the brass on trombone.

Bluffton High School American history teacher Tami Wuest was the recipient of an $8000 Lilly Endowment grant which she used to visit and study Washington DC Wuest will use her new knowledge and experience to prepare more interesting lesson plans for her students and ready them for a trip to the Capitol later this year.
