The North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie was the prototype version of the proposed B-70 nuclear-armed deep penetration bomber for the United States Air Force's Strategic Air Command. Designed in the late 1950s, the Valkyrie was a large six-engined aircraft able to fly at beyond Mach 3 at an altitude of 70000 ft (21000 m), which would have allowed it to avoid interceptors, the only effective anti-bomber weapon at the time. Two XB-70 prototypes were built for the US Air Force. The aircraft program's high development costs, and changes in the technological environment with the introduction of effective high-altitude anti-aircraft missiles, led to the cancellation of the B-70 program in 1961. Although the proposed fleet of operational B-70 bombers was never built, the XB-70A aircraft were used in supersonic test flights from 1964 to 1969, performing research for the design of large supersonic aircraft. One prototype crashed following a midair collision in 1966; the other is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Ohio. The XB-70 was designed to be a high-altitude bomber-sized Mach 3 experimental aircraft with six engines. Harrison Storms shaped the XB-70 with a canard surface and a delta wing, which was built largely of stainless steel, sandwiched honeycomb panels, and titanium. Italian producer Fabio XB, known for several stunning collabs and strong solo track 'Reflected', combined with the sounds of France-based producer Yves De Lacroix and the legendary work of Lange, makes up for a musical threesome of trance bliss. Perfectly fitting the S107 imprint, 'Electrify' is a gathering of their ideas on what vocal trance should sound like. Diversity is the key to this EP, cause all of the three different 'Electrify' versions surprise the listener in a different way. Fabio XB's rework is a peak time example of variety. A housy touch meets techno-influences, all backed up with the finest in trance. The 'Yves De Lacroix & XB Mix' is much darker and deeper, with bold bass in the back and heavy use of the track's addictive male vocal-lines. Lange, who's been producing and remixing electronic music professionally since 1997 and has a musical catalogue full of highlights to thousands of clubbers, brought in some delicate prog sounds. Modifying a stock muffler off a 2003 Buell XB9S. I installed this muffler on my 2004 XB12S when it was finished. It was an exact fit on the bike, no modification had to be done to the bike itself or the chin spoiler. This project turned out better than I could have expected and it sounds awesome on the bike. Definitely a lot cheaper that a $800-$900 custom exhaust. I did this entire project in my garage with the exception of the welding. The Boeing XB-15 (Boeing 294) was a bomber aircraft first designed in 1934 as a test for the United States Army Air Corps to see if it would be possible to build a heavy bomber with a 5000 mile (8000 km) range. It was originally designated the XBLR-1 (experimental bomber, long range). When it first flew, it was the most massive and most voluminous airplane ever built in the United States. It set a number of load-to-altitude records, including a 31205-pound flight to 8200 feet (July 30 1939). The aircraft's immense size allowed for passages within the wing, which the crew could use to make minor repairs in flight. Due to the technology of the time, a 5000 mile flight took several days; the crew was made up of several shifts, and bunks allowed them to sleep when off duty. The XB-15 was designed around liquid-cooled 1000 hp (750 kW) engines. Unfortunately, these were not available, and 850 hp (637 kW) engines were used instead. These engines left the bomber significantly underpowered; its top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) was far too slow for a combat aircraft, and the project was abandoned. Even without the improved defensive armament that would have been needed in service, the XB-15 had a maximum takeoff weight 5000lbs greater than the later B-17G, but with a total engine output of 1400 less horsepower. No B-15s were put into service; the Army Air Corps converted the only prototype into a transport designated the XC-105, which carried freight around the Caribbean during the <b>...</b>

On February 5, 1935, the Army Air Corps initiated a secret project for an experimental long-range bomber, with the goal of seeing just how far the state of the art could be pushed.
