Air France A380 landing on 24R at YUL
On October 7th,2010, Air France sent the A380 to Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport to celebrate 60 years of service to YUL. This is a video of the approach and landing on runway 24R. Quite a bit of spray is kicked up by the thrust reversers as it had rained earlier in the afternoon. Though this is a one time visit in 2010 of the A380, Air France will be using the A380 on the CDG-YUL route on a daily basis as of the spring of 2011.

Yul Brynner Russian Musical Tribute
Here is a Russian-Gypsy song ("The Shawl" - "Shalyonochka") performed by the fabulous Yul Brynner. Yul Brynner (1920 -- 1985) was a Russian-born Broadway and Academy Award-winning Hollywood actor. He was born Yuliy Borisovich Brynner (Russian: Юлий Бори́сович Бри́ннер) in Vladivostok, Russia. His father was of Swiss and Mongolian ancestry. After his father abandoned his family, his mother took Yul and his sister, Vera, to China, and in 1934 she took them to Paris, France. He began acting and modeling in his 20s. He appeared in many movies and stage productions in the United States. He is best known for his portrayal of the Siamese king in the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical "The King and I" on the stage and on the screen, as well as Rameses II in the 1956 Cecil B. DeMille film "The Ten Commandments" and as Chris Adams in "The Magnificent Seven". He also starred in such films as the Biblical epic "Solomon and Sheba" (1959), as Solomon (with Gina Lollobrigida), "Westworld" (1973), with Marlon Brando in "Morituri", with Katharine Hepburn in "The Madwoman of Chaillot" and William Shatner in a film version of "The Brothers Karamazov". His final feature film appearance was in the sequel to "Westworld", titled "Futureworld" with Peter Fonda, in 1976. In addition to his work as a performer, Brynner was an active photographer, and wrote two books. Yul Brynner is interred in the cemetery at the Saint-Michel-de-Bois-Aubry monastery in Luzé, near Poitiers, Vienne, France. He has a star <b>...</b>
21 take-offs & landings at YUL in 200 seconds - 200th Upload!
This is my 200th aviation upload on YouTube and to celebrate this, I have put together a montage of as many take-offs and landings at YUL as I could fit in 200 seconds (3.33 minutes). The video contains 21 take-offs and 21 landings from a wide variety of airlines and aircraft which I have filmed at Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau Intertnational Airport over the past few years. Even though I spent many hours working on the editing, I enjoyed revisting all of the videos I have taken over the years at YUL. In addition, this should be one of the last of the non-HD videos I upload. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many subscribers, raters and postive comments which I have received since I started uploading videos in December of 2006. I plan to continue to upload aviation videos as long as there continue to be people who enjoy them.
