Please vist his page at www.youtube.com The name Yawara-Jitsu comes from the millenary Yawara or "agility art", from which have arisen various schools such as Wa-Jitsu, Tai-Jitsu, Kumuishi,or Kempo. I call what I teach with the Yawara, Aiki Yawara-Jitsu as its my own view on the use of the Yawara with the rules of Aiki applied to its use in Waza. This is a protective tool that is shaped like a flashlight or a ballpoint pen. It can be made of metal or wood or plastic. Many kinds and styles are for sale online. The yawara-bo is used to apply pressure in certain parts of the body to immobilize an attacking person. The pressure applied with this tool is used with jiu-jitsu or Aiki techniques. Even a very small person/child can bring a very large attacker down with the Yawara with ease if trained in the art. The beauty about this weapon is that it is so small it can be neatly concealed to give your attacker the impression that you are unarmed thus giving you an edge. Please make sure its legal for you in your country/state to carry or own. Again I say please train with care as with all Martial arts Injury, Death,etc can be a result of careless training.

This yawara stick combination comes from Module 11 of the Self Defense Training System titled "Old School weapons and Tactics". The yawara stick originated in Japanese jujutsu and reached it's peak in modern day popularity in the 1940's when it was used for police work. The stick itself can be made out of a variety of materials and have different end shapes varying from sharp and pointed to smooth and round. The stick is not illegal to carry and when made of wood is easy to transport. It is and EXTREMELY effective tool for focusing the power of your strikes and dramatically increases the penetration of damage into your target. Even strikes to the body, arms and legs are tremendously painful. dragongatesanctuary.com An entire jujutsu art in one kata This is the 6th form of the ninjutsu art called yawara no katachi shape of softness Yawara is the same character as Ju 'soft' its the 6th form which is yin vibration expansiveness uses the feminine/shakti or torque or twisting chi to overcome...to be a transformative martial arts with no fear the 5th kata is very hard and full resistance like sanchin.... its yang vibration and is for the fear factor in controlling the force... its still in the protective and defensive stage and basing the techniques on the mastery of fear.... because the throat front and back chakras have to do with bridging thought and action energy and matter... this is what makes the difference in the manifesting.... of martial art techniques, etc... the back of the throat chakra is form 5 and 6th form is front of the throat the 6th form goes with the kuji in mudra, jin which is for knowning the thoughts of others or projecting thoughts to others... this can only happen when the protection or defense because of fear is no longer needed... the shell comes off and the psychic energy activates/wakes up/is liberated....
