(Important announcement regarding 4th M-1 at the end!) Hey, it's been awhile! Here's Yuyuko and Youmu's routine from the 3rd M-1. All that's left for the prelim rounds is Witch Doll. Apologies in advance for the slight hitch in two places. My hard disk crashed recently and I only just got this thing up and running, and Fraps was surprisingly merciful towards me while recording, so I'll take the small errors. I was up all night doing this too, so some timing may be off. That said, the 4th M-1 is still in the works, as most of you are curious about. Akyuun and I don't have extensive knowledge of spoken Japanese, so it's hard to get everything down. If any of you can contribute your own notes, that would be lovely. ALSO: If someone has scaled-up versions of the current 4th M-1 videos (found on Murasa's channel) or has the DVD rips, PLEASE SEND ME A LINK TO THEM. Preferably downloadable on a site like MegaUpload. The subs will be of questionable value if the video quality itself is terrible. Enjoy~ Finally, translator's notes/explanations: "Bird Monster!" - A pun off of Youmu's theme, "Hiraori Shoots a Strange Bird". The theme itself plays both off canonical Touhou events in Perfect Cherry Blossom and an old Japanese folk tale. In short, the folk tale goes: A little bird was guarding a ghost, and Hiraori shot the bird and the ghost passed on. In PCB, Reimu shoots Youmu down to move on to Yuyuko and stop her plans. Therefore, the kotori (bird) is Youmu and the obake (ghost <b>...</b>

This is a run against Youmu Konpaku from Perfect Cherry Blossom Stage 5. It is played on lunatic mode and done without dying or bombing and without breaking any borders. In other words, a perfect run. The battle is pretty hard with tricky bullet patterns to dodge, some pretty hard spellcards and some kickass music. Do note though that every single one of Youmu's attacks are completely legitimate challenges. I love this boss fight and i think its a hell of a lot better than any boss in UFO. This didn't take me long to accomplish but i have only done it once ever since. I actually did this quite some time ago but i never got around to upload it before now.

The residents of Hakugyokurou are the stage 3-5 bosses of the game Mystical Chain, a fangame of the Touhou Project created by team Lion Heart. The game is an action-pseudo fighting game of epic proportions which lasers shall pierce the HEAVENS *Gets sue*. The original Touhou Project belongs to some alcoholic named ZUN. =v Here we are at the third stage of this fantastic joy ride. Now we are fighting the residents of Hakugyokurou, also known as the Netherworld, which quite frankly is easier to remember than Hakugyokurou (copy/pasted). The first half of the fight is solely against Youmu. Yuyuko comes to assist her at the third spell and you finally fight her during the fourth/final spell. The battle can be a little confusing (read: hard) at first since is the first battle where you have to actively use the Ambush and Switch Partner functions in order to dodge attacks. Also, since Youmu is a melee fighter, you're going to have to trick her into slashing the air and take the opportunity to combo her. Easier said than done. When Yuyuko comes in, everything goes downhill for normal players at least. Just look at what I mean. This fight is pretty hard if you don't know what's coming, but becomes easy once you know <b>...</b>

Alright, I finally managed to find time to make and upload this video, compiling several videos together. Sorry if I haven't been uploading much of anything for nearly the last two weeks but lack of motivation to do Mugen videos and doing other stuff I wanted to do is perhaps the blame. This time I make three matches using three Touhou characters on my Mugen team so here is what we have. 1)Youmu Konpaku vs Keine Kamishirasawa (Minoo w/ AI patch) Description: Well, we got ourselves another Touhou character that has never made a debut into IaMP or SWR but it's a disappointment since this is a Touhou character done pretty badly code wise. Shame considering her sprites are decently edited. What saddens me is that most of the projectiles from this Keine are coded like physical attacks rather than projectiles so even if you have a grazing ability by default it won't work. She also has a pretty high Defense of 125 along with 1100 Life so she takes longer to take down than most characters. With those factors all adding up I had to play opportunistic with Youmu, which is strange considering Youmu has an excellent rushdown game. 2)Suika Ibuki vs The Disapproving Bosses Description: Darkflares requested me to take the challenge to defeat 4 of any of his alternative (joke) team, The Disapproving Bosses. Even with Fullmoon MBAA Suika this one if going to be a hard shell to crack as they possess the cheapness of well.... Bosses. As for the bosses I'll lazily summarize them. -Original <b>...</b>

I give the recently-released Touhou 13 demo a spin on Hard with Youmu. I am in no way good at danmaku. Also, since I was streaming at the same time, my framerate isn't perfect, so I'm probably cheating a bit. Oh well. Well, it's alright up until Stage 3. Then I just get stupid. Youmu's gameplay is fairly interesting. In order to shoot like one would expect in a shmup, you will have to remain unfocued. Her options follow your movement (like Marisa's in Mountain of Faith) and will shoot forward, unlike Myon in Imperishable Night. Holding down focus allows Youmu to charge up a slashing shot, similar in a way to her level 1 charge shot in Phantasmagoria of Flower View (except this one won't clear bullets. That'd just be too much.). These slashes absolutely demolish fairies and can also do fair burst damage to bosses. Additionally, Youmu's bomb tears through bosses fairly easily. The lifebars used in Fairy Wars are here to stay, which I quite enjoy. Also, don't mind the occasional Steam IM beeps. Don't worry, those are not coming from your own computer. The Trial Version only goes up to Stage 3 as I chose Youmu, her Focused Shot lets you charge a powerful slash attacks forward but you can't make shots while focusing. The Spirit System somehow reminds me of the Nightmare Souls in Megaman X6... And also, Stage 2 Boss Name should be Kasodani Kyouko but WTF it shows as "Kasoya" Kyouko!? What will it be seriously!?

Now time to move onto the stage I normally start with! My main reason for starting here is the weapon I get out of it. This stage is somewhat infamous for a couple of reasons... first being its boat ride of death at the start, and second is its two stair gauntlets. The stairs are actually not so bad except for right at the end of the second one. Just take them slow and steady and you should be fine. Really, that is this stage summed up... boat ride and stairs... Youmu fights like a weird mix of Quick Man and Pharaoh Man. She has quick jumping attacks and shockwaves like Pharaoh Man, while having a stage layout similar to, and charge attack similar to Quick Man. She is really not all that bad, though... She is weak to Sakuya's weapons, although I completely forgot I had such at the time of recording so I did not demonstrate this fact. Ah well, something to save for the fortress stages! The weapons Youmu can give you are... *looks up name* Ghost Cutter for Marisa and Rolling Slash for Alice. Ghost Cutter is completely worthless... Alice's weapon is superior in every possible way, so just do not get Ghost Cutter. Rolling Slash is, of all things, Top Spin! Except someone thought Top Spin was not powerful enough and decided to give it a HUGE BUFF! This thing rips through just about any enemy, is the weakness of FOUR bosses, AND has tons of ammo! Hehehe, expect plenty of spamming this beautiful masterpiece of a weapon from me, that is for sure! Alas, it still uses ammo whether <b>...</b>
