Unfortunately after several weeks of searching for a Yugo, one could not be located for filming. It was decided that instead of re-writing the song, to just go ahead and use another small car as the main idea behind the parody is not really about a Yugo. Apologies to all Yugo enthusiasts.

Yugo (Zastava) Florida TV commercial - 1988
In the mid-80s, a group of Zastava engineers set about creating the company's best car to date. Using Fiat facilities and working from a Fiat Tipo proposal by Giorgetto Giugiaro, they come up with a roomy, clean C-segment design with a 0.32 coefficient of drag. The first production Floridas leave Kragujevac lines on October 2nd, 1988. The name is a reference to the company's success Stateside, where the Yugo finds 145511 homes between 1985 and 1991. Zastava hopes that the $7500 Yugo Florida will join the Yugo in the US, but the Yugoslav Civil War forces the company to shelve its plans.

Yugo M57 Slideshow
Purchased this pistol from J&G Sales out of Arizona. Got an email from them that said they had them in stock, and upon recommendation from Ruger6, I decided it would be a prudent course of action to pull the trigger on one. It came with the holster, 2 mags, and a cleaning rod that fits inside the holster. It did have quite a bit of cosmolene on and in the pistol. I completely took the pistol apart, removing the trigger, and firing pin also to get the cosmolene out of those places. The slide would hardly come back, and it would stay back on it's own since it was so gummed up with cosmolene. The pistol is rather tricky to disassemble, but it finally did come apart. That will be addressed in a later video. As for the features of the pistol, the Yugoslavian version I understand is different from the Romanian and other variations out there. It does have a hammer safety. If the hammer is at half cock, the slide will not come back. It is essentially like a thumb safety despite the fact it does have a thumb safety on it to lock the slide, and trigger from moving. There is also a magazine safety that you can see if you take the left grip panel off. If the mag isn't in it, it won't dry fire, or fire at all for that matter. It is a very safe pistol, but a bit unwieldly in the leather flap holster. The second mag is also a bit of a pain to remove from it's own pouch on the holster.

Yugo M57 Presentation First Time Cleaning of a Milsurp Firearm
Follow up to the slideshow presentation of disassembly and first time cleaning of a military surplus firearm. Especially one that has been exposed to cosmolene, and is very saturated in it. The cleaning process is quite simple. After disassembly of parts, mineral spirits is necessary. A small cup or holding device and an old toothbrush will work to scrub. It may be necessary depending on how thick the cosmolene is to wipe off with some old newspaper. It will just make it easier to clean that way. Once it has been scrubbed, then try with an old rag or towel you don't care if it gets ruined. I like to grease up the slide with the Tetra, as well as near the muzzle of the barrel where the barrel bushing contacts the barrel and the locking lugs on the barrel as well. Pretty much anywhere there is some friction between moving parts isn't a bad place for a little Tetra. The pistol is very safe without the addition of the thumb safety. The holes that were drilled look aftermarket and were never reblued or anything like that. It appears that it was a requirement for import, like the Romanian TTC's that have the ugly out of place safety by the grip. There is a half cock safety, which will lock the slide of the pistol, unless it is at full cock. The pistol will not fire without the magazine in it, as there is a small spring that holds the trigger fixed unless there is a mag inserted.

In 1988 yugo had one of the best off road cars ever built for a commercial. It won the one lap of america race sponsered and ran by yugo. This video is behind the scenes how many yugo's did it take to make this video how many stunt men. The first three Yugo vehicles (Red, White & Blue) were introduced to the American public at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in May 1984 held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The car was promoted with a 10 year /100000 mile warranty, free maintenance and a price of only $4500 - front page articles about the Yugo appeared in the Los Angeles Times (Business Section), New York Times, and The National Enquirer. Reportedly Malcolm Bricklin attended the Los Angeles Auto Expo Show and while the show was still in progress flew to Yugoslavia to "seal the deal" to import the Yugo to the United States himself. YugoCars, Inc. however already held the exclusive import contract for 5000 vehicles for the 1985 model year to be sold in California only and the California Certification was already in progress. In November 1984 the marketing rights were sold by YugoCars, Inc to International Automobile Importers (IAI) for $50000 ($10 per car). Additionally Miro Kefurt obtained exclusive dealer franchse from IAI to sell BERTONE X1/9 in North Hollywood, California. Both companies, YugoCars and IAI, were quite satisfied with this arrangement. Bloody Roar Extreme Yugo Playthrough Part 1
Yugo the hero of the story is pretty well balanced. He's easy to pick up an play for anyone. I hate the fact that he lacks low attacks and kick moves. Yugo does however excel at Wall and juggle combos. Especially since most of his moves cancel easily without going into his beast form. He also possess some of the best counters on this game. He also for some reason seems to be one of my natuarl best. I mean I never really use him but I can hold my ground easily with him. In fact I hardly use him at all to begin with.
