Abba - Does Your Mother Know

Solo drums intro or unreleased early rocking guitar intro, which is best? This is the unreleased early rocking guitar version, replacing the solo drums version that was actually performed in this show. Full volume for this one please! Abba visited Madrid on May 27-28 1979 to record 2 tv shows at the Roma Studios. The first show was "300 Millones" in which they performed I Have A Dream, Does Your Mother Know (solo drums intro), Voulez-Vous and Chiquitita (in Spanish). It was shown all over Latin and South America on June 3rd. The group then had one hour for lunch in a nearby restaurant where they had grilled steak and salad before the second show. This was "Aplauso" broadcast in Spain in which they performed Does Your Mother Know (this video with solo drums intro), Chiquitita (in Spanish) and Voulez-Vous. Benny and Bjorn took a song writing break to the Bahamas for a fortnight on January 22 1979 hoping for some musical inspiration. It worked - they came up with Voulez-Vous, Kisses Of Fire, Does Your Mother Know, As Good As New and I Have A Dream within 2 months to complete the Voulez-Vouz album. Bjorn recalls: "In the Bahamas we were staying next door to the Rolling Stones - 'Sitting In The Palm Tree', one of the songs I sang lead on, recently reminded me of Keith Richards in Fiji!" Does Your Mother Know had the working title 'I Can Do It' and two versions were recorded.
