text from ajanaku.com If you asked me on New Years Eve what will be big in 2011, my answer would and is 'Kern Koppen.' Since our first encounter at their unofficial album release, through to their performance at our Stepping Stones event and our featured interview with the trio, I know these guys are destined for great things! We have the honer to premiere their latest video, 'Geen Zweet' here on Ajanaku. It is a song that gives a good feeling, peace of mind, and consolation. It is the Dutch word for 'no sweat': Do not worry, keep a peace of mind. The video takes place during Christmas and New Years, showing the less but normal side of this holiday season. The situations which are shown are those of craziness, fights, drinking, and eating, in short, the complete lack of peace and a little introspection. Like their music, Kern Koppen have not treated this video as another day at the office, but a piece of who they truly are. And this is why I feel they will make it big in 2011, they stay true to who they are. Even if you don't understand a word of Dutch, Geen Zweet will still take you on the musical journey that is Kern Koppen. ___________________________________ Geen Zweet is the second single from Kern Koppen's debut album ÉÉN. The refrain of Geen Zweet is sung by the fabulous Kim Hoorweg.
