This place just opened relatively recently in Akihabra in Tokyo, and let me say dear Gundam fans, if you EVER find yourself in Tokyo, make sure you go here! It's so legit, the food is good (although the selection is limited), and there's more gundamness then you know what to do with in there! Plus, they have a HARO LATTE. I ask you, what's not to love??

Joi Ito, the host of today's special Boing Boing tv episode from Tokyo, explains what you're about to witness This year, the Digital Garage New Context Conference and Ellen Levy's Silicon Valley Connect worked together on a program for visitors from Silicon Valley to Tokyo. Silicon Valley Connect is a program that Ellen runs which brings executives and visionaries from Silicon Valley to various parts of the world. This year, we organized a group to visit Japan. As part of the "cultural program" we decided to take a tour of Akihabara, the mecca of all things otaku, anime and electronic in Japan. I asked a very special friend, Danny Choo, son of the famous shoe designer Jimmy Choo, to lead the tour. I call Danny "The Prince of Akihabara". He is one of the world's experts on Japan's otaku culture and has one of the most popular English language websites about Japan. One of his favorite things is to dress up as a storm trooper and spread his love and happiness in Akihabara. A quick tour of my first apartment in Tokyo. This building is a serviced apartment and is very conveniently located. It's expensive, though. I couldn't live with myself if I stayed here for longer than I did, so I have moved. If you would like to know more about this place, the agency's website is here: www.space-d.co.jp The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the whole process was extremely, extremely easy. I guess you get what you pay for (in some ways). This place came with dishes, cleaning supplies, and instructions for how to use everything in the apartment. It was small, but new, clean, and extremely convenient. This room ran 150000 yen a month.
