Nineteen-year-old freeskier Alex Schlopy takes you on a tour through his hometown of Park City, Utah, from the first rail he scoped out in town to the house he grew up in. Fast forward to his banner breakout season, and get his take on winning X Games, then World Championships then Dew Tour and landing his first switch upright 14 in competition. Since the first day he landed it by accident, he's been working on that trick. Summertime is all about golfing, hitting the skatepark and riding his dirtbike. Utah local Alex Scholpy made his runs count today by topping the podium with a 94.50. He started things off by taking the right side line onto the first box with a front 360 switch up transfer, blind 360 switch onto the second box with a blind 270 out, a blind 630 out of the cannon rail with a mute grab, a huge left 900 double Japan on the first jump, capping it off with a fluid switch 1440 to really impress the judges and secure the top spot. Schlopy was thrilled to win on his close-to-home turf, thanking Utah and the local fans for making this "more fun for everyone." And of course, "there's nobody I'd rather have on the podium next to me than Joss."

The explosive final leg of the Winter Dew Tour rolled in to Ogden, Utah February 10th-13th. Snowbasin played a welcoming host, providing a technical slope style course and 22 ft Super pipe. Competitors were looking to go big. One of the highlights of the event was 18 year old Alex Schlopy. He took gold in the mens ski slope style, adding to his gold from X-games big air, and the world championship slope style event.
