I have shiny, slippery layered and angled hair and the methods that the gurus use alwalys fall out within a few minutes. I'm not trying to bash other gurus, but it doesn't work for me! So, here's the method I discovered to create a lasting hairstyle. The key is in tying your hair in a low pony before braiding and hairsprying! I translated this into my hair and it looked surprisingly pretty! It may look complicated but I promise you, If I can do it, then you guys can too! Practice makes perfect! If you don't have long enough hair to do a side ponytail weave then try doing two piggy tails instead, this will require less length. The braid will look great on anyone and at any event, be it a lazy sunday, a shopping with the girlys saturday, a wedding or even down the beach!
