
Sony music's newest and most exciting signee in years, female rapper Kreayshawn, has hit internet gold with her single "Gucci Gucci". In a matter of weeks, the Oakland, CA native and former music video director has been thrust into the spotlight and is now being hailed as the next big thing. Her affiliations with rap's new cool weirdo's Odd Future and Lil' B, coupled with her hipster style of dress put's her at the forefront of music at exactly the right time. Kreayshawn, a play off of the word creation, hopes to bring something unique to the music scene. "My music is a fusion of everything. It's like nothing that's out, I think that's why people either love it or they hate it. They don't know what it is yet. I'm going to have to think of a name," said Kreayshawn Social media continues to play a role in propelling the careers of recording and aspiring recording artists. "Gucci Gucci" garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube in a little over two week, causing a bidding war for Kreayshawn with Sony music winning out with a rumored 1 million dollar deal. Social media also helped with the creation of "Gucci Gucci."
