The Amiga 500 promo video (1987)

Back in the dark days of DOS computers, all you had to work with your computer were white numbers on a black screen. To do any simple function, you had to write a long line of complicated code. No GUI's! For the novice, it was horrible. Then, one day I saw a video for an Amiga 500 computer and I was hooked! Out went my crappy DOS-system and I bought an Amiga. Suddenly I could do easy lists of all my videos but most of all I could do quality video titles, animations and more. And until the iMac came out with easy digital video, THIS was the way to go! I used mine for years. Step back 20 years and visit the future with the Amiga 500 computer! (See the Amiga 2000 Demo elsewhere in my listings.) Release Date: 1987

Commercial: Commodore Amiga 500 Intro Video

The Amiga 500, also known as the A500, was the first "low-end" Commodore Amiga 16/32-bit multimedia home/personal computer. It was announced at the winter Consumer Electronics Show in January 1987, at the same time as the high-end A2000, and competed directly against the Atari 520ST. en.wikipedia.org

Amiga Longplay [021] The Secret Of Monkey Island

www.recordedamigagames.org Intro+Game+Outro LOL! I converted the movie to low quality because this game doesn't have much moving around on the screen and therefore doesn't need superior quality.... so this movie is less than 1 mb So, gooood filesize. Took 4 hours to compile the movie so I didn't want to do it again, otherwise I would have increased the quality a bit as 104 mb for a 2.5 hour movie is not very much and some more mbs could have been added for better quality. (looks decent anyway) Oh well..... ENJOY!

Amiga vs PC 2

INFORMATION HERE A few of the PC versions in the video would sound better using an MT-32. However, those things were *very* expensive back then and the vast majority of people had standard adlib/soundblaster cards (if anything at all). Besides, I don't have an MT-32 and I cannot emulate it properly either. And for all you nitpickers out there - I *know* the Amiga is a PC! :D I'm using the term as it is most often used these days. Thanks to the forumers over at EAB for helping me out by suggesting games! :)

Amiga Longplay [038] Moonstone

www.recordedamigagames.org Intro+game+outro... Well, that went fast Got lucky and found the keys way too fast. Not really a decent longplay movie, but it's not a speedrun either. I didn't bother slaying all the lairs, defeating all the knights, gamling, defeating the dragon, getting killed over and over again to show all the cool ways to die etc... If you want to see all of that, watch my other (low quality) moonstone movie, or visit The Moonstone Tavern. If requested I could take my time and do everything that is possible in this game, but then the movie would be like 2 hours. This game is so easy to finish :), all you need to do is to find the 4 keys, then go to the stonecirle and then Stonehenge.

Amiga Misc [049] Wild Flying

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a 'misc' movie, which means it's just a short sample, not a complete longplay. The main purpose is to show a bit from the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game release year: 2002 Played by Ironclaw Damn crackling sound in the title and loading music, nothing I did could remove it, so I guess it's a compatibility issue with the emulation or the music actually has it in it for some reason, maybe minor damaged files... donno. I could select to play in different screen sized modes (pal, ntsc, rtg), max one was rtg240, I picked rtg200 because it looks better imo. The 240 version is just too tall, looks really lame. So, the resolution of this video is 256x200, otherrwise it would have been 256x240. Ye, I just fool around a bit and kill myself in the end. Information: hol.abime.net Here's the info from the ReadMe file that came with the game: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wild Flying Demo (Dead Dreams) Back in May 2002 we started on this project but due to problems getting skilled / motivated graphic artists we stopped working on it in autumn 2002. The Engine was designed for AGA/NTSC mode and one of our goals was a 20fps performance, the engine was nearly completed and holds 3 diffrent weapons and 4 <b>...</b>

Amiga Longplay [718] The Town With No Name (a) (CDTV) (FULL VERSION)

www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 1992 Worst CD game of all time? Hmm, don't know. 00:28 - tutorial 02:20 - intro 04:53 - game 25:16 - the pebble people 25:26 - alternative way of ending the game (leaving town whenever you want) 26:05 - what happens when you shoot close but miss the first enemy 26:31 - death 1 26:46 - death 2 27:00 - death 3 27:12 - game over 27:27 - the making of 'The Town With No Name' (so they call it, but I don't really see it as a "making of" thingy This is an updated version of this longplay. The old one didn't have all the bad guys in it cuz at the time I didn't know how to 'unlock' them. I went through the game again and added the important parts, leaving one or two death scenes (got 3 included though), also left out some dialogue, like one more with the bartender and probably one or more with 'the man with the cigarette' and the priest. For those wondering what the "Special, Mystery Option!" is, it's just some advertisment of their other games, like Psycho Killer etc. Here's the characters and stuff I recognize in this game: * The main character (the stranger/drifter) = an attempt at John Wayne? (at least the voice) * The man with the cigarette = Clint Eastwood * The scene when Nasty Ned is riding into town = from Blazing Saddles (if I recall correctly) * The "Meanwhile" text = Back to the Future * The "BACK IN Town" text = I can't quite put my finger on it, but was it from Beverly Hills Cop? Amiga Longplay [753] Pit Fighter

www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 1991 The controls are horrible and the difficulty is INSANE! I could very well be the FIRST one to complete the Amiga version without the use of cheat codes or trainers (was almost impossible with save states) Unlike the arcade version, the Amiga version only has one fire button, so to keep all the moves and stuff they had to make do with just one button (some Amiga games supports 2 buttons though). I bet it's easy to jump in the arcade version, but in this version you have to hold down+fire, release fire and press up... bleh. Sometimes I'm all over the place trying to pull off the moves I want. Sometimes he won't turn around so I kick/punch in the wrong direction, that's because I have to let go of everything first and wait like 0.5 sec before turning, or he keeps hitting the wrong direction. This game has been ported to many other systems, and the Amiga version isn't the worst of them. Like always, the Amiga version has the better music. I chose to play as Ty because he's the weakest one (imo). My fav though is Kato, and the easiest one to complete the game with is Buzz (imo). I usually pick the weaker character in my longplays, like in my Elfmania and Dune II longplays. Luckily I found some cheating tactics to take down some of the enemies. Some can't be thrown which makes it alot harder. At match 10 when I met TWO of the non-throwing kind I didn't think I was gonna make it, but I found yet another trick <b>...</b>

Amiga Longplay [754] Joyride

www.recordedamigagames.org Played by Ironclaw Game release year: 2000 In my defense, I was driving DRUNK! I selected the car with the best steering, but it's still hard as hell. Might look easy most of the time, but I dare you you to try it! This game is weird... if I tried to cut in front of the cars by going right at 02:14, passing right behind the palm tree, the game would just say "WRONG WAY!" and I would be teleported back to the beginning of the track even though I would still be with the other cars, be on the right road going in the right direction. So I thought maybe this is a game where you are not allowed to leave the road, but nope, in many other places you can drive sort of wherever you like without complaints from the game. Now and again there's a fork in the road cutting it into two parts, both leading back to the same road after like 3 secs of driving on them, but still, if I don't take the right road, it once again yells "WRONG WAY" (but that is just for some of the forks, weirdly enough) even though I end up with the other cars 2-3 second later. Lame.... the other cars can drive wherever they like, even through rocks, trees etc. So if you see me go to a complete stop just to take the left side road instead of the right, even though both are like a few feet apart, it's because of what I mentioned above..... etc... and stuff...... and I like cookies.... I ran into superman at 23:33, my car just bounced off of him.

Animated Amiga Tribute by Eric Schwartz

The song "Still Alive" is a little past it's prime today, and in fact I could have had this up in January, but I'd been trying since then to get usage permission from Valve software, with no response at all except some positive comment from songwriter Jonathan Coulton (Thanks John!). So - I'll just recommend that everyone who likes the music either buy the game Portal, or the music CD/track downloads from Amazon. Hope you enjoy the vid.

KEEP PLAYING: Rewind - Amiga Memories

Welcome back to KEEP PLAYING Rewind - Bringing Back the Past One Game at a Time! For this episode I did something very spur-of-the-moment and special in the form of a look at my own personal past, as I dig up games for the Commodore Amiga from over 15 years ago! Take a stroll down memory lane with me as I look at games I'd thought lost forever! Comments, questions and constructive criticism can be directed to www.powet.tv Or on Twitter - http

A500 Turrican II - Intro

The sequel and considered by many, the best 'Turrican' ever made, 'Turrican II' showed what Factor 5 could pull of when they had the time combined with the previous experience with 'Turrican'. The end result is simply a dream arcade game, with even a reference to 'Katakis' throw in for good measure. Once again, Chris Hüelsbeck proved his skill, by making me plug my Amiga sound output to my stereo, so I could tape the songs and listen to them in my walkman.

Amiga Longplay [379] The Killing Game Show

www.recordedamigagames.org The main motivation to play this game is the intro and especially the music. The gameplay is above average. But if you get into this game you will be addicted until you pass it. I used no autofire. However, the later levels were hard to do, espacially the last one. I did not use the replay function in this game, because it would destroy the movie. Instead I used the Save State, but the fewest to make this movie possible. Greetz lemm
