Wilson's heckle raises hackles on Facebook, Twitter

tinyurl.com As soon as Rep. Joe Wilson was identified as the person whose angry and audible outburst disrupted President Barack Obama's health-care speech to Congress, condemnation was swift -- and brutal. Within minutes, someone had altered Wilson's entry on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia: "He is a (expletive) that called the president of the United States a liar on national television and has no respect for the office he holds." When the Web site scrubbed the sentence, an even more offensive entry wormed its way in. Soon, the site disabled edit options for Wilson's entry, chalking it up to "vandalism." On Twitter, post after post urged users to condemn Wilson's breach of protocol, listing his Web site address and his congressional office phone number. Web surfers who visited www.joewilson.house.gov were greeted with the message: "This site is down for maintenance. Please check back soon." Those who called his office number either could not get through because the line was busy, or could not leave a message because the phone continued to ring without activating voice-mail. Don't Miss * Rep. Wilson shouts to Obama during speech: 'You lie' "If he's the face of the GOP, we'll have public option by Columbus Day!" wrote Andisheh Nouraee, a columnist for an alternative weekly in Atlanta, Georgia.

Re: Boycott shaun doty's restaurant in Atlanta!

A response to this video: www.youtube.com made by a silly person calling for a boycott of someone's restaurant because he says someone told him something someone said to someone else about some other something.

Waking up the baby

Adelaide spent all night tossing her head back and forth. But like every morning, the first thing she did when she saw us was smile.
Sarah drinks her meatshake

Our dog Sarah recently had part of her lower jaw removed because of a tumor. She's almost fully recovered, but for a couple more weeks at least she has to eat watered-down canned food so her gums can heal completely. We call it the meatshake. The main problem with Sarah's meatshake is, well, watch. It doesn't smell too good either.
The child of parents who can't deliver effective instructions

We're trying to teach our girl to try chewing more before spitting out food. We also encourage her not to bang her silverware against plates because it's very loud. Our teaching method often consists of acting out the behavior we wish to encourage. Along with saying "chew your food" we make chewing motions with our mouths. And we offer a gentle shush when we bangs her silverware. Instead of learning the lessons, however, she just mimics our instructions. It's fortunate she's a well-behaved, easy-going child, because we haven't quite mastered parental coaching.
