The love connection Mighty Mouse Wresling David Letterman Jerry the king Lawler Elvis Johnny Cash Muppets Tony Clifton Andrew Geoffrey Kaufman (January 17, 1949 May 16, 1984) was an American entertainer, actor and performance artist. While often referred to as a comedian, Kaufman did not consider himself one. He disdained telling jokes and engaging in comedy as it was traditionally understood. He referred to himself as a "song and dance man". Though Kaufman died of lung cancer in 1984, many fans doubted the authenticity of his demise, suspecting it might simply be just another of Kaufman's pranks. Even in more recent times, there remain people who are not entirely convinced that Kaufman's death was genuine

Andy Kaufman on Dating Game, Santa Claus question

Andy Kaufman was on the dating game in the 70's and did this great bit based on a rhetorical question. The potential date asks him if she were Santa and he sat on her lap what would he ask for. Hilarious!

Andy Kaufman's Cannonball Story

This is an excerpt from The Andy Kaufman Special which was aired on ABC in 1979. Andy, as his "Foreign Man" persona, tells a story about the three people who were carrying the biggest canon in the world to Spain. One of my favorite Andy bits.
Andy Kaufman "Friendly World"

"In this friendly, friendly world with each day so full of joy Why should any heart be lonely? In this friendly, friendly world with each night so full of dreams Why should any heart be afraid? The world is such a wonderful place to wander through When you've got someone you love to wander along with you With the skies so full of stars and the river so full of song Every heart should be so thankful Thankful for this friendly, friendly world"

Andy Plays Carnegie Hall Pt 10 - MILK AND COOKIES !!!

Say it with me folks:MILK & COOKIES !!! Because I know a lot of people hasn't seen this legendary Andy Kaufman's performance, and I just recently managed to get my little greedy paws on it, I decided to upload it on YouTube so everyone can enjoy it. The Carnegie Hall show took place at the beginning of April 1979. In the bio-pic Man on the Moon, this event was shown to be planned and performed after Kaufman was diagnosed with cancer, when in fact it took place almost 4 years before.

Andy Kaufman Vs. Susan Smith pt1

I uploaded this almost 2 years ago but it was removed due to some nudity being in it. i got a little burned out uploading the Kaufman stuff because NBC claimed copyright to pretty much every one of them I uploaded, even though most of them never appeared on NBC, and my account was in danger of being shut down. But here it is again with the part with the nudity cut out. It's a shame too because there was some funny stuff there. But yeah, here it is. Classic Kaufman. Part 2: www.youtube.com

The Kaufman Lawler Feud: Chapter 1 - Andy Fights Women

Here's something I've been meaning to put up for a while now. Its Andy Kaufman versus Jerry Lawler from '82 and '83. Some of this stuff you'll have seen before but some you may not have. I used a variety of sources to pull this together. This is not EVERYTHING like with the McMahon Lawler feud, but it's everything I have. Still there's a lot of stuff here that you may not have seen before. Enjoy. In this first chapter, Lance Russell interviews Andy about wrestling women.

Andy Kaufman 2nd Fridays Monolouge

Andy Kaufman made a second appearance on the show "Fridays" after his "botched" first appearance which ended with Kaufman nearly coming to blows with cast and crew. He opened the show with his trademark "Mighty Mouse" routine then, intros his new Christian singing fiancé and sing a lifting spiritual tune. This is the full monologue and runs approx 9:40

[ARCHIVES] ANDY KAUFMAN INTERVIEWING HOWDY DOODY

to me, this is a very poignant moment for some strange reason. aside for being absurd and surreal, there's something emotional about this. andy talking to a puppet... but what's said in this following clip resonates... and we shouldn't forget... andy kaufman, a true visionary and talent. albeit a weird one... he's sorely missed.
