When raising a round of angel financing, most entrepreneurs typically will want to target very wealthy super angels who they don't know. This is very hard, especially if you are an unproven entrepreneur. The vast majority of money raised during the early stages comes from individuals the entrepreneur already knows and people they know. While you may not think you have angel investors in your network, you may be surprised. Start with friends and family and then go to LinkedIn and start with individuals directly connected to you. Perhaps, you can find someone who sold a business, inherited money or has just done well over the years. Look at who they are connected to. Once you get your angel in, ask him to invite his friends.
