Disney's Hall of Presidents attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World has been updated to include speeches from advanced audio-animatronic versions of US Presidents Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Barack Obama. This video shows the full speeches delivered by these robot versions of Washington and Obama at the end of the show. Be sure to visit the Magic Kingdom to view the entire newly-enhanced show. Computer controlled animatronic head. My first proper atempt at animatronics, before this i'd only done a set of eyes! It has a fiber-glass core, silicone skin and glass eyes. SSC32 servo controller board runs the 7 servos. the blue flashes are LEDs under the skin.......anyone thinking it has "rabbit teeth" its just the perspex stand showing through from behind the mouth as there is no backing to the mouth. The teeth are moulded and and cast directly from the live model so are actually highly realisitic.

It's not too far from Rotterdam in South Holland where we are currently based. It is an amazing theme park, sort of like a European Disney World. It has some amazing rides like the python wooden roller coaster, monsieur cannibal, mirador, fata morgana and the Efteling teacups. It is particularly well known for the spookjebos, or enchanted forest, that features characters from fairy tales like sleeping beauty and Hansel and Gretel as well as Dutch characters like langnek (long neck), and the efteling draak (dragon). It also has animatronic garbage cans that say "papier hier" to encourage kids to put their garbage away. The Efteling now features a hotel, golf course and even a theatre.

Gilderfluke software and Interface designed by Greg allows performance to be edited with graphical motion curves and refined in the same manner as 3D animation. A few words still needed refinement at this stage. Conversion to youtube format drops frames and synch. Mechs built be Sonny Tilders. Skin is painted foam latex rubber for lightness, but heavier silicone rubber would be equally effective. Creature shop supervisor was Dave Elsey As often happens in animatronics, performances programmed to a specific voice track are regularly overdubbed with completely different dialogue, resulting in the character looking like a chinese actor speaking in Cantonese with English plastered over the top. This is a common reason for animatronic lip synch looking poor on film. If you take a scene from "the incredibles" and overdub with dialogue from "A bug's life" you will get a similar result

It is a radio controlled mask, foam latex skin on fiberglass underskull with 9 servos for movement. 2 transmitters and receivers were used. PS (Added Februrary 20th 2009). I'm working on a new animatronic gorilla mask which is almost finished. The quality of the new one is not comparable with this one, ten years of experience make a huge difference. I'll post the video as soon as it's ready.

When the sun rises, they have to rush home to their maker so they don't melt. I guess they can't melt if they go home? But it was not the sun they saw, it was fire. The Littlest Snowman saves the kid from the fire, and of course it's the kid who made him. The snowman tries to get help by throwing snowballs through the open windows of people in the town. in the middle of winter, in 12 degree weather and he woke a lot of people, which I guess means everyone sleeps with their windows wide open in the winter. oh wait somehow the story is over and there is a statue of the <b>...</b>

DIsney Imagineers reveal their most sophisticated audio animatronic to date, the new Abraham Lincoln for Disneyland's revised "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" attraction. The old Lincoln figure had 6 functions in the face, but this new one includes 10. Lincoln's mouth is now able to form vowels such as "O". This new attraction will reopen mid-December only at the Disneyland Resort.
