"Lonely Boy" is a song written and recorded by Paul Anka in 1959. Anka sang this song in the film Girls Town. When released as a single, it topped the Billboard Hot 100,[1] becoming Anka's first song to do so, although he had earlier topped Billboard's Best Sellers in Stores chart with "Diana". The song was covered in 1971 by Billy "Crash" Craddock, which was released on the album Knock Three Times. Donny Osmond had a 1972 single revival of the song, charting as the B-side to his hit single, "Why".

Canadian born singer, songwriter Paul Anka first became famous as a teen idol in the late 1950s and 1960s with hits songs like "Diana," "Lonely Boy," and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder." Issued March 1972 on Buddah 294. From the album "Jubilation" on Buddah BDS 5114. Paul Anka was in transition. Having moved to Buddah Records in 1971, he was onto the next thing after having been a teen idol and a Vegas lounge act. His first single for them was "This Is Your Song," which failed to register, but was redone in 1973 under Anka's supervision by Don Goodwin, who got airplay with it. The next single was "Jubilation." It only reached #65 in the Hot 100, but made #14 on CHUM and did similarly in other Canadian markets. Note that the single is six and a half minutes long. There is no edited version; radio stations would usually fade it out by 3:55. The rest was issued on a single on United Artists in 1973, as by The Johnny Harris Orchestra, titled "Johnny's Theme." The music is identical to this performance, and not a remake - it was hived off of the Paul Anka record and reissued under a different name. It didn't chart.

Rendez vous for Peace From Quebec City, a compilation of the special celebrations which took place during the Rendez-Vous 1987 hockey games between the NHL All-Stars and the USSR. Paul Anka, David Foster, Crystal Gayle and the Soviet rock group Autograf were featured. Aired on CBC Friday March 6, 1987 and re-aired on the 7th. It came from a old VHS tape that someone gave me..
