I absolutely have no words for this, as you may imagine. This happened on Tuesday, 18th of May 2010, as the video says, in Barcelona (Spain), after an Agua de Annique concert. She was right there to sign us all, take pics and so on, the kindest way you can imagine. I honestly didn't nor do know now what to say, I realise I probable look dumb here, but I simply couldn't be any other way. After these years listening to her voice, dreaming on her melodies and feeling every single word she sung, I simply had her there in front of me. It may actually be this human habit of wanting tangible, corporal things out of everything, even from feelings... I don't know, but in this case, she's just the corporal body of those cherished feelings for me. And, after all, I suppose that what she sings is a part of her soul, so, finally, don't blame me for loving her :) Oh, and btw, I don't know if the quality here will be very good, sorry. Anneke Grönloh is an Indo (Dutch-Indonesian) singer who was very popular in the 1960s in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Dutch-speaking world. Born June 7th, 1942 in Tondano, Dutch East Indies, Grönloh is famous for her 1961 hit "Brandend Zand," a Dutch cover of Mina's "Heisser Sand" as well as several Indonesian-language hits like "Bengawan Solo" and "Boeroeng Kaka." She also represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1964 with the song "Jij Bent Mijn Leven." In the 60's she inspired a whole generation of young Indonesian girls to pursue singing careers. She continues to perform today. Here Anneke Grönloh sings (in German) "Das Leben kann schön sein." Look at the story of Anneke Gronloh, a dutch singer who ever live in Celebes, east island of Indonesia, 1942. This time was the era of Japanese occupation in Indonesia. It means that Anneke Gronloh was a dutch who was survived under war surveillance. Gronloh spent her early years in the Japanese occupied the Dutch East Indies in a Japanese concentration camp. Her father, a soldier, had been interned for her birth (Wikipedia). After the war, the family moved to the Netherlands, Anneke grew up in Eindhoven.
