The effects upon the victim can be devastating, and the effects can last a lifetime. o something besides watching. Try to diffuse the situation. Tell a teacher, or a principal. This slideshow was prepared for a K-8 assembly at Cathy Wever Elementary (Hamilton, Ontario). The HWDSB has launched a Character Builds initiative through which students learn and display specific character traits both at school and in public. Bullying is a problem in all schools, and hopefully students everywhere are able to access this slideshow and develop an understanding of the hurt and pain those that are bullied endure. A programme produced to help children, young people, teachers and parents understand the impact that bullying has on children with special educational needs and disabilities. To help prevent and tackle bullying behaviour and to assist teachers and parents deal with this behavior, should it occur. The video was launched at the 2008 National Anti Bullying Week. Take One Productions are working with DfE to produce a Teachers Resource Pack, with a 'teachers notes' booklet and DVD containing the main programme, and various chapters. The chapters will feature interviews with 'key players' from the programme, and real disabled and SEND children who have experienced bullying.
