What use is Apple Care?
$300 of Apple Care put to the test - my Mac Book Pro has an issue, today I took it to Apple in Sydney. VERY frustrated.... What do you think? i should say the guy serving me initially was cool - he was nice, patient and friendly - i just don't like the policy he has to enforce... and there is obviously some wiggle room.... I arrive on time, and waiting an hour to be served - whilst the genius stood around chatting (see the pics I inserted). Then I heard one skipping their friend to the top of the list... bit unfair. Anyway, they should call me in next 2 days - I will show the outcome.

iPhone 4 AppleCare Advanced Replacement
In this video, I go over the AppleCare Advanced Replacement process, specifically the box you receive with the replacement phone. The entire process takes 1-2 days. The phone is shipped via FedEx overnight priority. Mine took a little longer because I requested it on a weekend. If you have any questions regarding the process, feel free to comment. Sorry for the blur at the beginning. I didn't realize my address was showing clearly on the front until after I shot the video. I can post a high res shot of the box as a still image, if requested. My Apple Care Experience
So let me get it out of the way now. This video is not for you if you just want to go somewhere and hate on Apple. This video is not really about Apple computers, but about customer service. I have been asked to explain what happened to my computer and the outcome. Maybe these are people that are looking to buy a Mac, or maybe it is just people looking for customer service stories. Non the less I believe in spreading the word when I get excellent service from a company. So rather you hate Apple or Microsoft or whoever, this is not that kind of video. I appreciate the service I have received from Apple. It does make me want to stay their customer, because I know if I have a problem with one of their products in the future, the kind of service I will get. I cannot say the same for many companies no matter what the product is that they make or represent. If all companies had customer service as good as what Apple showed. it would be a better buying world! This I my first vid so it sucks. My screen started to have what I would guess was screen burn in. Took it in and had it fixed. I asked when the deal was with the screen and he read the description but it did not say. To say the least I am glad I didn't have to drop a 1000 bucks. I said something in error. The screen was 873 not 871.

Apple Care Protection plan and My review
I feel this is a product that is worth getting yes it is going to cost you around $260 for the macbook pro protection. I do think it is a bit much but hey your getting a 2 years plus what you have on your product of protection if something happens to your macbook pro, for example broken screen, bad harddrive, keyboard broken, anything possible that could happen would be fix. I purchased applecare about 2 months after purchasing my macbook. I got it for my birthday because i wanted to protect my main computer for 3 years. I would recommend purchasing this along with your computer if you purchase a mac. You will be covered and if you ever have a problem you can just take it in and they will fix it for you for no charge. If you are a student be sure and bring your ID and you will get a big discount.
