Isaac Albeniz's Asturias - cover by Muris Varajic

Greetings folks. :) Here's a cover of this great classical masterpiece by Isaac Albeniz. I used my old trusty MK Guitars Custom and AxeFx Ultra. Hope you'll like it, thanks for watching! PS looks like audio and video and just tiny tiny out of sync after I uploaded it but it shouldn't ruin the whole thing. :)

Albéniz, Asturias (Leyenda), guitar solo, James Edwards (animation)

Isaac Albéniz's Asturias (Leyenda), arranged for guitar and performed by James Edwards, accompanied by an animated score. FAQ Q: Where can I get this recording? A: This recording is from Edward's CD "Andaluza"; it and many of his other recordings can be purchased here: jamesedwardsguitar.com Q: Where can I learn more about James Edwards? A: Here's a link to his web site: jamesedwardsguitar.com Q: Where can I get sheet music for this? A: YouTube user a2dejans suggested this: www.angelfire.com Q: What do the colors indicate? A: This video uses "harmonic coloring," in which each pitch class (C, C-sharp, D, etc.) is a different color, with the colors being assigned according to the circle of fifths. You can read more about this technique here: www.musanim.com In this video, I've departed from my convention of using blue as the tonic because green seemed more appropriate to the mood of the piece. Incidentally, this mode of coloring is supported by the MAMPlayer (see the next FAQ item). Q: Isthere a way I could make the bar-graph scores myself? A: The Music Animation Machine MIDI file player will generate this display; you can get the (Windows) software here: www.musanim.com There are lots of places on the web where you can get MIDI files; I usually go to the Classical Archives site first: www.classicalarchives.com

Asturias ( conoce Asturias)

Leonard Cohen's Prince Of Asturias Speech - No Overdubbing

How I Got My Song, Leonard Cohen's speech at the Oct 21, 2011 Prince of Asturias Awards is already available on video uploads, all of which suffer from overdubbing in Spanish that sometimes obscures Cohen's words. In this version, however, all but the first 2-3 minutes of the talk are played from an audio tape with no overdubbing. While that portion of the tape contains ambient noise and some volume and pitch fluctuations, it is significantly easier to understand. A direct English transcript is also available at 1HeckOfAGuy.com: 1heckofaguy.com
Asturias by Isaac Albeniz (in the original G minor Key) - Francesco Teopini (Classical Guitar)

My Twitter page www.twitter.com This is me playing "Asturias" from the "Suite Espanola op.47" by Isaac Albeniz: this piece was originally written for piano, and in this video I play my own transcription for classical guitar.... "Asturias" has become a very famous piece of music thanks to the transcription which Andres Segovia made and performed many years ago....after him, many other great players made their own transcription, but everyone of them changed the original G minor key to E minor....so I got the original score, and I tried to be as faithful as possible to the original... The biggest feature that my classical guitar colleagues will notice is that I used octaves instead of triplets in the fast part: actually, this is how Albeniz wrote it for the piano, instead Segovia had the (very effective) idea of playing it in triplets.... Oh, before I forget: Asturias was also made famous by the rockband called "The Doors", featuring it in their song called "Spanish Caravan".... Anyway, I hope U will like my transcription....and also my playing!!! :-D

Asturias Documental (Conoce Asturias)

Asturias has since become one of the most popular pieces in the concert repertoire for the classical guitar. With its Flamenco-infused character rooted in the rich culture of Spain, Asturias is a natural fit for the guitar. Ironically, it is perhaps better-known as a guitar piece than its original incarnation as part of a suite for the piano. Its hypnotic, yet fast-moving first section, punctuated by a few fortissimo chords, transports listeners to another world. The second section, slow and pensive ...

Miloš Karadaglic plays "Asturias" from Albéniz (Music Clip)

www.deutschegrammophon.com Watch Miloš Karadaglic play excerpts of "Asturias" by Isaac Albéniz recorded for his debut album on Deutsche Grammophon. Born in the small Balkan state of Montenegro, Miloš's love-affair with the guitar began when he was eight, when his father played him a recording of Segovia making magic with Albeniz's 'Asturias'. Armed with the family's dusty old guitar, Miloš enrolled at a specialist music school, where in six months he learned all its teachers had to impart. He gave his first public performance at nine, entered (and won) his first national competition at eleven, on the same day won a singing competition in his home town. He became a star performer on television and radio, took guitar master-classes in Belgrade, and then, shortly after the end of the Balkan war, decided to try for a scholarship at London's Royal Academy... Miloš's choices of solo repertoire as well as music for guitar and orchestra are guaranteed to appeal to all lovers of guitar, classical and non-classical alike. "The music on this CD reflects my character. It tells the listener who I am" (Miloš Karadaglic). Find Deutsche Grammophon on Facebook and Twitter: www.facebook.com www.twitter.com

Oviedo (Conoce Asturias)
