Asus Transformer Review

Just some quick thoughts after a day with the Asus Transformer. I was unable to find the keyboard dock, but just wanted to give my initial, out of the box impressions having owned both the iPad 2 and the Xoom over the past few months.

iPad 2 Vs. Asus Transformer!

iPad 2 Vs. Asus Eee Pad Transformer! Asus Eee Transformer Review: www.technobuffalo.com iPad 2 Review: www.technobuffalo.com For the latest tech news and reviews, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com TechnoBuffalo on Facebook: www.facebook.com TechnoBuffalo on Twitter www.twitter.com The Asus EEE Pad Transformer is the newest Android tablet on the market, and one I absolutely fell in love with when I reviewed it. As I wrote in my conclusion: The Transformer is the tablet Android fans deserve. I'm disappointed I have to send my review unit back to the folks at Asus. Before, whenever anyone asked me which tablet they should buy, my answer was always "The iPad 2." Now, I can confidently recommend another extremely capable alternative. If you are in the market for a tablet, you owe it to yourself to look at the Transformer. While I also gave a favorable iPad 2 review, one of them has to be superior to the other, right? So it only makes sense to put the Transformer up against the iPad 2, allowing these two tablets to fight it out head-to-head and see which come out as the true victor. We put them through six rounds: Screen Speed Browser Apps Operating System Intangibles You'll have to watch the video to find out the victor, but we'll give you this much of a hint, it doesn't end in a tie. Check out the video and let us know in the comments what you think of both the iPad 2 and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

Asus Transformer Prime vs Apple iPad 2

PhoneArena presents a brief comparison of the Asus Transformer Prime and Apple iPad 2. It wasn't until the arrival of the iPad that the Tablet market began to gain steam amongst consumers. Even now, Apple's pride in joy in the iPad 2 continues to make great strides in the tablet landscape as it's seemingly is the benchmark that all other tablets try to live up to. Not one to back down from a good fight, we've seen very recently that Asus has managed to enthrall our interests thanks to its amazing Transformer Prime, but it's going to be interesting to see how it stacks up against the iPad 2. Without further delay, let's find out which of these... For more details, check out our full comparison: www.phonearena.com

ASUS Transformer Prime gaming / emulator session with the PS3 Dual Shock 3 gamepad

Complete review here: www.swedroid.se Come a long as we take the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime on a gaming session with titles such as Riptide GP, Shadowgun and a bunch of classics including Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Crash Bandicoot 3, Donkey Kong 3... Pretty much everything we throw at this tablet feels a solid 50-60FPS. The Transformer Prime in this video is running Android 3.2 and is set to "Normal speed mode". Games: Reckless Getaway, Shadowgun, Riptide GP. Emulators: SuperGNES, N64oid, FPse Bluetooth does work via the "sixaxis tool" on Android Market (requires root). It is however limited and doesn't work with Riptide GP nor Shadowgun (gamepad not detected). It does work with a few emulators after some tweaking, but it's far from as quick and easy as with a USB connection. Music via Audiojungle: Sonic Byte - Mystic Dance One more thing. We did speed up the first chapter (connecting controller) and the last chapter (failing with connecting controller) by 20%. Everything that has to do with displaying a game is of course running at native FPS. Video was recorded with Panasonic SD900 @ 50 FPS (PAL).

A thorough video review of the Asus Transformer Pad TF300, what's going to be for sure one of the most popular Android slates of 2012, considering it is fast (Tegra 3 quad-core CPU inside), solid built, beautiful (available in white, blue, red, etc) and runs Android 4.0. Plus, it's fairly cheap, as it stat at $399, so definitely below the new iPad or all the other HD Android slates that we'll see later this year. Asus Transformer Prime Review - The New Tablet King?

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Review - The Android Tablet You Deserve While the iPad will always receive its fair share of media coverage, no tablet has been anticipated more in 2011 than the Transformer Prime. On paper, the device's specs are a tech-lover's dream: Nvidia's new Tegra 3 quad-core processor, an incredible 10.1″ Super IPS+ display, estimated 12 hours of battery (18 hours with dock), 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and a build quality that would make Apple engineers red with envy. Take a look at out our iPad 2/Transformer Prime comparison gallery to see what we mean. Mind you, this isn't the first time we've tangled with a Transformer (no, not the robots). Earlier this year we reviewed the original device and concluded it was one of the best tablets on the market -- and still is. Asus PR hyped up its newest member of the Transformer family pretty high once it was finally announced early last month. Not only that, but there have been plenty of tantalizing rumors, leaks and photos of the Prime, making the wait all that more agonizing. Needless to say, when we received the Eee Pad Transformer Prime last week, we had some high expectations for the Tegra 3-equipped device. Both are some of the best Android slates out there, running on Nvidia's Tegra 3 platform, with Android 4.0 IceCream sandwich. The Prime is at the end of its life and does offer a couple of interesting strong points: it's lighter, thinner, has a metallic case and better battery life and screen. It's also significantly more expensive than the Transformer Pad Tf300, going for 559, as opposed to 399, for the 32 Gb Wi-Fi version. All these while not being significantly better or faster.
