A lot of the ABLA riders chimed in with "I want to go!" and as the van got fuller, the more we thought it would be a good idea for another "72 Hours..." segment. While Joey was attending to his Red Bull duties, we were out in the streets. Amazing what these guys can do in such a short amount of time. Ford Focus 1.6 Ecoboost Speeding at German Autobahn
A short video of my 2011 Ford Focus 1.6 Ecoboost (150HP) speeding at an unrestricted part of the German Autobahn. You can see the acceleration from 160 km/h to 180 km/h in 5th gear (100 to 112 MPH) and then from 180 to 200 km/h (112 to 125 MPH) in 6th gear. 200 km/h to top speed takes more road then was safe and available this day. Of course my passenger was filming! Notice how quiet the car is and how little revs the engine makes at this speeds. You can see the real GPS speed on the navigation systeem. It's on the right side of the screen, down below. The difference with what the speedometer is telling is just a few kilometers. Very nice car to cruise with! A 52-car pileup on a German autobahn has killed 3 people and injured many more. The crash left dozens of cars in a tangled mess. The weather was foggy at the time but it wasn't immediately clear what triggered the accident. The incident happened in Gronau, near Germany's border with the Netherlands. Autobahn Pit Stop - with Sebo Walker
Autobahn's first Pit Stop is with Works Teamrider, Sebo Walker. This was filmed in a handful of sessions. Just a quick minute and half of Sebo's unique skating... He is from Salem, Oregon but he now resides in Venice Beach, California. Sebo (SEE-boh) is a rad dude and an amazing skateboarder. Expect to see a lot more of Sebo in the future!
