Vivaldi, Autumn

More at www.sfetcu.com Autumn sonnet Allegro Celebrates the peasant, with songs and dances, The pleasure of a bountiful harvest. And fired up by Bacchus' liquor, many end their revelry in sleep. Adagio molto Everyone is made to forget their cares and to sing and dance By the air which is tempered with pleasure And (by) the season that invites so many, many Out of their sweetest slumber to fine enjoyment Allegro The hunters emerge at the new dawn, And with horns and dogs and guns depart upon their hunting The beast flees and they follow its trail; Terrified and tired of the great noise Of guns and dogs, the beast, wounded, threatens Languidly to flee, but harried, dies. Griffin Village - Autumn (Derpy Hooves)

Hello hello again! Back with a brand new Griffin Village song about everypony's favorite Mailmare! Derpy has always been a constant in the fanbase, there from the very beginning! Her birthday wasn't too long ago, so let this serve to a tribute to not only the amazingly awesome background pony, but also to the fanbase! Providing super duper amazing fanon for everyone to revel in and expand upon! I wish I could make up stuff like you all could! Going for pure Owl City vibe again with this tune. This was written almost instantaneously in a Chick-Fil-A on my campus, there were autumn leaves everywhere. Down in NC the leaves go super bright orange! Let's say that this song is from the same perspective as "Summer (Lyra and BonBon)". Who wouldn't wanna be friends with Derpy! Lyrics: I know a mare, she knows me too The stunning Derpy Hooves, or Ditzy Doo If you've got a note she'll send it But don't you be mad when it's late by a couple minutes Nopony's perfect! Trot with me through the autumn leaves And keep close to stay warm Soon you'll see how much you mean to me Feelings I've never felt before The leaves grow bright and yellow Like her hair and eyes stay mellow There's something special 'bout that mare. I'd be a happy fellow If I could just say hello Have to be brave just don't be scared So trot with me through the autumn leaves And keep close to stay warm Soon you'll see how much you mean to me Feelings I've never felt before (Synth solo) When I see her with her filly I ...

Cannonball Adderley feat. Miles Davis " Autumn Leaves" (1958)

Somethin' Else is a 1958 album by jazz musician Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, regarded as a landmark album in the hard bop and cool styles. This critically-acclaimed album is notable for the presence and prominent contributions of Miles Davis, in one of his few recording dates for Blue Note Records. Many critics and jazz fans consider Somethin' Else to be among the greatest jazz albums of all time. When alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley culled together this quartet, he grabbed three champions from seemingly disparate schools to complement his flinty solos: Miles Davis, the king of cool; Art Blakey, the thundering force of hard bop; Hank Jones, a veteran of swing; and Sam Jones, a versatile bassist adaptable to nearly any setting. The results are one of Blue Note's most beloved albums. The open-ended beauty of "Autumn Leaves," which features Davis beautifully stating the melody on muted trumpet, sounds like it could easily be an outtake from Kind of Blue (which it isn't). The midtempo title track provides the centerpiece of this classic as Adderley echoes Miles's swaggering melody before both unravel wonderful solos. Bombay Bicycle Club - Autumn

Such an awesome song. =] Off their debut album 'I had the Blues but I Shook Them Loose' here are the lyrics :) Lyrics: And everytime I walk away from you, there's never time, To say what I really had in mind, People try, they never know what's right, It's all the same, A different life behind every face, I can change, I've seen a different page, It's in my head, But I can't turn my back, Every feeling waiting to escape, And suffocate, Every night and every day, People try, they never know whats right, It's all the same, A different life behind every face, I can change, I've seen a different page, It's in my head, But I won't turn my back.
To Autumn - John Keats

The well-known poem by John Keats, read by Neil Conrich. Ode To Autumn by John Keats Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; Conspiring with him how to load and bless With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run; To bend with apples the mossed cottage-trees, And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, And still more, later flowers for the bees, Until they think warm days will never cease, For Summer has o'er-brimmed their clammy cell. Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store? Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find Thee sitting careless on a granary floor, Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind; Or on a half-reaped furrow sound asleep, Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers; And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep Steady thy laden head across a brook; Or by a cider-press, with patient look, Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours. Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they? Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,-- While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day, And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue; Then in a wailful choir, the small gnats mourn Among the river sallows, borne aloft Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies; And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn; Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft The redbreast whistles from ...
The Kinks - Autumn Almanac

The Kinks - Autumn Almanac From the dew-soaked hedge creeps a crawly caterpillar, When the dawn begins to crack. Its all part of my autumn almanac. Breeze blows leaves of a musty[mustard? ]-coloured yellow, So I sweep them in my sack. Yes, yes, yes, its my autumn almanac. Friday evenings, people get together, Hiding from the weather. Tea and toasted, buttered currant buns Cant compensate for lack of sun, Because the summers all gone. La-la-la-la... Oh, my poor rheumatic back Yes, yes, yes, its my autumn almanac. La-la-la-la... Oh, my autumn almanac Yes, yes, yes, its my autumn almanac. I like my football on a saturday, Roast beef on sundays, all right. I go to blackpool for my holidays, Sit in the open sunlight. This is my street, and Im never gonna to leave it, And Im always gonna to stay here If I live to be ninety-nine, cause all the people I meet Seem to come from my street And I cant get away, Because its calling me, (come on home) Hear it calling me, (come on home) La-la-la-la... Oh, my autumn armagnac Yes, yes, yes, its my autumn almanac. La-la-la-la... Oh, my autumn almanac Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Bop-bop-bopm-bop-bop, whoa! Bop-bop-bopm-bop-bop, whoa! Nat "King" Cole "Autumn Leaves"

Nat King Cole's rendition of this classic song. "Autumn Leaves" is a much-recorded popular song. Originally a 1945 French song "Les feuilles mortes" (literally "Dead Leaves") with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert, English lyrics were written in 1947 by the American songwriter Johnny Mercer. It has become a pop standard and a jazz standard in both languages, and as an instrumental. "Les feuilles mortes" was introduced by Yves Montand in 1946 for the film Les Portes de la Nuit. The film Autumn Leaves (1956) starring Joan Crawford featured the song, which was sung by Nat King Cole over the title sequence. The French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg wrote "La chanson de Prévert" as a tribute to this song
Doris Day - Autumn Leaves - 1956

I came to know Doris Day and her music through my mother back in the 1950's. She loved Perry Como, Nat "King" Cole, and Doris Day. Her Columbia albums were often played in our home stereo in Cuba. Her clean, delicately textured, and melodic voice filled every room of our household. So it is with great nostalgia that I bring you this gem of a song- "Autumn Leaves". "Autumn Leaves" was originally a 1945 French song "Les Feuilles Mortes" (literally "Dead Leaves") with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert, English lyrics were written in 1947 by the American songwriter Johnny Mercer. With Mercer's exquisite lyrics the song became even more beautiful, it not only conveyed it's message of sadness and longing, but painted a story with the colors of Autumn. I thought it fitting to use pictures of Doris Day and Rock Hudson as the main protagonists, given their popularity as a Romantic Comedy acting team, and in honor and tribute to their lifelong friendship. This song is very dear to me and this is one of the most beautiful covers I've ever heard, and I've heard most of them... Taken from the album "Day by Day" released by Columbia Records on December 17, 1956; here you have Doris Day accompanied by Paul Weston's orchestra rendering an exquisite and beautiful version of "Autumn Leaves". Enjoy.

ATB - The Autumn Leaves from "No silence" album. I woke under the cover of darkness Looked up into the television sky Tonight I wandered through the city alone this Rain wouldn't stop, I couldn't dry my eyes I cried Who is the one to blame Why is it that you never say ...when the feeling leaves ...if you're through with me As I'm walking through the rain Cold tears falling down my face ...like the autumn leaves ...on a windy day I went to the edge of town Over bright highways where the traffic was the only sound Around While my eyes were looking at the ground I could see pictures of you floating all around I didn't doubt Who is the one to blame Why is it that you never say ...when the feeling leaves ...if you're through with me As I'm walking through the rain Cold tears falling down my face ...like the autumn leaves ...on a windy day Who is the one to blame Why is it that you never say ...when the feeling leaves ...if you're through with me As I'm walking through the rain Cold tears falling down my face ...like the autumn leaves ...on a windy day Who is the one to blame Why is it that you never say ...when the feeling leaves ...if you're through with me As I'm walking through the rain Cold tears falling down my face ...like the autumn leaves ...on a windy day Who is the one to blame Why is it that you never say ...when the feeling leaves ...if you're through with me As I'm walking through the rain Cold tears falling down my face ...like the autumn leaves ...on a windy day

From Autumn To Ashes-Short stories With Tragic Endings

Here you stand seething with guilt. Silence only justifies this act of cowardice. The look stapled on your face cries out for forgiveness, the one thing that I cannot give. (Did you ever see that one person and the way they do these things and it hurts you so much it's like choking...choking) I can give you freedom from your guilt, with a flick of my wrist onto yours. I can give you peace of mind with a forced smile. I can give you death with the look upon my face. This is your freedom in a life of fallacy, with no last kiss & no regrets; you don't deserve good bye. This is your freedom in a life of fallacy, with no last kiss & no good bye. Here you stand seething with guilt. Silence only justifies this act of cowardice. With a short story, the one you add to daily, you are the tragic loss. No story book ending for this fairy tale of you. Just the one composed with blood taken from your pen that you hold in your lifeless hand. Cry for you. Shed tears. Mourn. Wish the end. Cry for you. Shed tears. Mourn. Wish the end. Mourn, wish the end Mourn, wish the end Mourn, wish the end Did you ever look, did you ever see that one person, and the subtle way that they do these things and it hurts so much? So much like choking down the embers of a great blaze. It's that moment when your eyes seem to spread aspersions and to scream confessions at the insipid sky parting clouds. You let this one person come down in the most perfect moment. And it breaks my heart to know the only reason ...
