One of the mothers said 'it saved her life'. She was amazed that once she learned what to listen for, she could hear babies 'talking' everywhere, "When I was at The Palms Shopping Mall I could hear all these other babies saying the Dunstan sounds". Another mother who road tested the DVD found it harder to use the System. "Long periods of unexplained crying can be overwhelming," observes Dr. Maureen O'Brien, child psychologist and Director of Education for Dunstan Baby. "Anything which encourages parents to stop, take a deep breath and listen to what their baby is trying to communicate is a positive." In three international independent studies, 9 out of 10 mothers found the Dunstan Baby Language highly valuable and would recommend it to other parents. Knox Won't Talk! (The Baby Book)
Knox is 21 months now, and he isn't talking. According to Knox's doctor (and all of her neighborhood) he should be saying at least 12 to 20 words at his age. I was trying to convince my beautiful daughter to go out and enjoy the nice weather (unbelievably warm Canadian weather in February) with me but my little princess couldn't budge. I am sure she was arguing that we shouldn't leave mommy alone while she was taking a nap. I think she was also telling me stories - perhaps from what my wife and I read to her almost regularly.
