Rockin' backing track to jam with in A. use your pentatonic lesson here johnny. this track is for you to mess with. all of those positions of the pentatonic scale are very useful IF you know how to use them. the only way to get familiar with them is to practice with them. what i like to do is choose a pattern and ONLY use that pattern to improvise for one entire song (basically this whole track). then play to the track again, but change the pattern and ONLY use that new pattern. before you know it, you will be using 2 or 3 patterns at a time, and then you'll be utilizing the WHOLE BOARD to craft your pentatonic sounding solos and melodic pentatonic riffs. the key is to remember where your root is in each pentatonic pattern. i THINK that link i sent you highlighted the root in each pattern. hope this helps brother. i'll put another track up so you can practice with another key.
