Available @ itunes I hope you enjoy viewing :) Scotland the Brave Lyrics Hark when the night is falling Hear! Hear the pipes are calling, Loudly and proudly calling, Down thro' the glen. There where the hills are sleeping, Now feel the blood a-leaping, High as the spirits of the old Highland men. Towering in gallant fame, Scotland my mountain hame, High may your proud standards gloriously wave, Land of my high endeavour, Land of the shining river, Land of my heart for ever, Scotland the brave. High in the misty Highlands, Out by the purple islands, Brave are the hearts that beat Beneath Scottish skies. Wild are the winds to meet you, Staunch are the friends that greet you, Kind as the love that shines from fair maiden's eyes. Towering in gallant fame, Scotland my mountain hame, High may your proud standards gloriously wave, Land of my high endeavour, Land of the shining river, Land of my heart for ever, Scotland the brave. Far off in sunlit places, Sad are the Scottish faces, Yearning to feel the kiss Of sweet Scottish rain. Where tropic skies are beaming, Love sets the heart a-dreaming, Longing and dreaming for the homeland again. Towering in gallant fame, Scotland ...

Turn up the volume for this one! Another live tv studio session with Heath on pipes, Joe on Guitars, Alan on Bouzouki, Lynne on Bodhran, Paul on Bass and me on the drum. Great fun! For those who've noticed the guitars sound a bit out of tune - you're right. It was a really hot day in the studio and we were struggling to keep anything in tune for more than a minute. We still think this is worth putting on YouTube. A few years on we have an additional band member and we're a lot better. Come and see us! Our band is called "Slainte" and we are based in the UK at www.celtmusic.co.uk

Scotland the Brave (Bagpipes)

"Scotland the Brave" (Scottish Gaelic: Alba an Aigh) is a patriotic song and one of the main contenders to be considered as a national anthem of Scotland. In June 2006, the song came second to Flower of Scotland in an online poll with more than 10000 votes to determine the nation's favourite unofficial "anthem". The song is used to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. Scotland the Brave is also the authorised pipe band march of The British Columbia Dragoons of the Canadian Forces and is played during the Pass in Review at Friday parades at The Citadel. In 2006, it was adopted as the regimental quick march of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. Going Home (Bagpipes)

Dvoraks New World Symphony. "Going Home" is an old Negro song, its said, based on an old man in his final days who sees his own death. A beautiful piece, with a really nice version by Libera (also on YouTube). Lyrics: 1. Going home. Going home. I'm a-going home. Quiet-like some still day, I'm just going home. It's not far, just close by, through an open door. Work all done, cares laid by, Going to fear no more; Mother's there expecting me, Father's waiting, too. Lot's of folks gathered there. All the friends I knew. 2. Morning star lights the way, restless dream all done. Shadows gone, break of day, real life just begun. There's no break, there's no end, just a-living on; Wide awake, with a smile, going on and on. Going home. Going home, I'm just going home. It's not far, just close by, through an open door.

Macedonian goat-head gaidi made by Risto Todoroski, sirulsko@gmail.com, in Sydney. 1. Song on a billy goat gaida, hardwood sleeved in water-buffalo horn. 2. Folk dance named Pajdusko oro (paidushko oro). Dedo Risto playing high-pitch gaida with frame drums: www.youtube.com Risto also makes tapans - Balkan drums - from goatskin, and wooden kavals or flutes for sale. (A note on animal cruelty. These goats are slaughtered for meat by their owners in familiar surroundings. The last thing they do is eat from a bucket of treats. No live transport, no abattoirs. We use the leather instead of throwing it away, as it has been done for centuries by every culture who plays bagpipes from Iran to Scotland. Before casting stones at us for being disrespectful to animals, speak to those who eat factory-farmed burgers. That's a long line of people to get through before you freak out at us. Thanks for visiting!)
