In the morning, the people of Dharampur village are worshipping Lord Ganesha in a temple. The villagers are busy in their daily chores. Madhos three granddaughters Santu & Khemi busy working at home when Monghi comes to give Prasad to them. As she tries to reach Santu, who is making pottery, Monghi falls in the wet mud. Khemi & Santu leave their work & try to move Monghi out of wet mud, but they also fall in. Santu, Monghi & Khemi all are now drenched with wet mud. Monghi somehow moves out of the wet mud & takes a water pipe to sprinkle water at Santu & Khemi. They all enjoy it & later get ready to go to the mela. Monghi promises Manjari, her cow, to get a new cow bell for her form the mela. They ask Madho (nanaji) to accompany them for the mela, but he denies as he has to assort diamonds for Dharamraaj (Maalik). He gives them some money & asks them to get some sweets from a particular shop while returning from mela. They leave for the mela. On their way to the mela, they play & sing & dance. Dharamraaj is a rich diamond merchant of Dharampur & most of the villagers work under him. He is their Maalik. One of his workers steels a diamond & hides it in his mouth. Dharamraaj is aware about it but wants him to confess this. He reveals a fact about diamond to the worker, that if he swallows it, it will affect his nervous system. Madho introduces them to his three granddaughters. Maheshs father asks Madho for Khemis kundli to match it with Maheshs. In Dharamraajs factory, all the workers are working for the consignment. Rajguru comes to meet Dharamraaj in his factory. Dharamraaj informs Rajguru about the consignment & shows him the factory & workshop. There they meet Madho, who feels obliged towards Dharamraaj for relieving his tensions by helping him in his granddaughters marriage. Dharamraaj tells Madho that it is his duty to help his workers who are working for him day & night. Rajguru gives a hint to Dharamraaj that his bad times have started now. Santu goes to Ichchakakis house to take mehendi for Khemis wedding. While she is taking mehendi from kakis farm, she overhears Jagmohan talking to few workers about Madhos money given to Dharamraaj in Jagmohans name. Santu comes to know the truth. Jagmohan sees Santu hiding & hearing their conversation. He threatens her & tells her not to reveal it to anybody. Santu is stunned & runs to a corner, Khemi follows her. They both cry & are tensed about Nanaji (Madho) as in such an old age he will not be able to accept this insult. All the guests are talking amongst each other about Mahesh & the effect of the broken marriage in front of so many villagers. Some people suggest searching for Mahesh, but Jagmohan says that they will not be able to find him anywhere. He then reveals to one of his worker, about the entire plan. He reveals that he instigated Mahesh by guaranteeing him a better job, pay & promotion if he joint Virat Sanghvi & cancels the wedding. Jagmohan comes to meet Dharamraaj & congratulates him for the achievement. Dharamraaj tells him that he knows Jagmohan is the culprit & is helping Virat by manipulating things. He tells him to resign or else the workers will kick him out of Dharampur. Pinakin informs Dharamraaj that his parents in law have returned home. Dharamraajs elder sister, who is unaware of Dharamraaj & Santus marriage, answers the call & scolds Madho for calling up late at night. Early morning, Virat Sanghvi reaches Dharamraajs house with Santu. Virat tells the maid of the house to wake up everybody at home as he has got some news for them. Everybody at home wakes & Virat informs them about Dharamraajs marriage. Nobody believes him, Dharamraajs sister warns him for blabbering all wrong things. Dharamraaj tells Virat that this is the result of his intentions of creating nuisance in Dharamraajs family. Dharamraaj tells Virat that soon he will see the result of entering his Surats Guest house. Dharamraajs children are returning home after a 3 month of world tour & they are afraid that the kids will accept this marriage. All the girls of the village are excited to meet Santu. They address her as Maalkin & are eager to know about the big house & her first night. Santu neglects all of them & does not answer their queries. Later at night, Santu is preparing to leave & go back to Dharamraajs house. Madho (nanaji) explains her that time will change things for her. Dharamraaj confirms about the arrangements for Airport from Pinakin. Assuming that Dharamraaj is talking about his kids, he gets stunned when Dharamraaj clarifies that he is talking about their client. He says that he will meet the kid anytime but the client is more important for him. Santu reaches home & the servant of the house welcomes her. She goes in the house to get her a glass of water. Tarulaben comes to know about this & warns the servant for treating Santu like a Maalkin. Tarulaben warns Santu to enter the house & also tells her that in spite of the fact that she is married in a rich family, but still she will lead her life in poverty. Dharamraaj is thinking about Hiten & the punishment which he has to bear instead of Maulik. Santu asks Dharamraaj that how Hiten can be punished if Maulik is the culprit. Dharamraaj explains her that Madho has lost a member of his family, had he wanted, he could have compensated the loss by giving money but he wants the culprit to learn a lesson. He wants them to become responsible enough. Santu is curious to learn & be responsible & asks Dharamraaj that when will the responsibilities of being a Maalkin be bestowed on her. Dharamraaj gets irate & tells her that she should not forget her limits. He tells her that nobody can take Subhadras place ever. At Madhos house, Hiten is trying to sleep outside in open but finds it difficult due to mosquitoes & noise. Santu hands over the keys of the trunk to Traulataben & informs her that she has locked the trunk. The servant of the house informs Tarulataben that Sooraj is missing. Dharamraaj is shocked to hear & asks everybody to search for him everywhere. Tarulataben informs him that Santu was playing with Sooraj but Santu is unaware about Soorajs whereabouts. Everybody looks for him everywhere in the house but cant find him. Dharamraaj notices some part of t-shirt in the trunk & checks in the trunk. He finds Sooraj lying unconscious in the trunk. They try to get Soorajs consciousness back & Sooraj wakes up. Dharamraaj asks about the trunk being locked & Tarulataben informs that Santu had locked the trunk. Dharamraaj tells Santu to get out of the house even though Santu tells him that she did not do it deliberately & asks for forgiveness. But Traulataben kicks her out of the house. Santu is weeping continuously & asking for forgiveness but Tarulataben is adamant. Meghna & Rasikbhai who are Dharamraajs college friends arrive there & Tarulataben has to make a story for Santu lying on the ground. She informs them that Santu is Dharamraajs wife. Dharamraaj welcomes Meghna & Rasikbhai & asks Tarulataben to get Santu inside. Babuji tells Tarulataben that Meghna & Rasikbhai have come to execute the promise given by Subhadra of getting Kadambari married to Meghnas son. Maghna & Rasik bhai are at Dharamraajs house & they ask for Santu. Santu comes dressed up in a saree & loaded with jewelry. Sooraj tells Santu to play hide & seek again with him but Santu denies saying that she does not want to cause any harm to him. Meghna tells Santu to sit with them & offers her snacks. But Santu informs them that she is fasting due to Navratre. Baa informs that even Subhadra used to fast on Navtratre but after her death, she used to fast but had forgotten this time. She feels glad that Santu was on a fast keeping the tradition intact. At Madhos house, Monghi asks Hiten to make 100 mud glasses over night to sell it in the market. She teaches him the procedure to make it practically & tells him to make 100 such glasses. At night when everybody is off to sleep in their respective rooms, Tarulataben tells Santu to return to her store room but Meghna arrives there & asks Tarulataben to cook food for Santu so that she can break her fast. Tarulataben cooks it for them & gives them to eat & Santu breaks her fast. Meghna tells Tarulataben that she wants to meet Dharamraaj & takes Santu along to his room. Santu knocks Dharamraajs door & enters the room. Dharamraaj is shocked to see Santu but Santu informs him that Meghna wanted to meet him & she got her. Dharamraaj gives some books to read to Meghna & she leaves. After she leaves, Santu is also about to leave but Dharamraaj stops her & tells her to stay in the room only till Meghna & Rasikbhai are staying at home. Dharamraaj asks her to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Dharamraaj plays the song which Subhadra had once sung for him & goes off to sleep. Next day, Santu wakes up & lights diya in front of Subhadras picture & leaves. Baa & Babuji see Santu coming out of Dharamraajs room & are shocked. Santu takes their blessing but Baa is very upset with Dharamraaj. She starts crying & is not ready to listen to any justification of Dharamraaj. Baa asks Kadambari to get ready in a saree & jewelry & then meet Meghna & Rasikbhai. Kadambari is aloof of Meghna & Rasikbhais intentions of making her their daughter in law. Everybody is having breakfast & Santu gives Prasad to everybody. Kadambari also comes dressed up in a saree & meets Meghna. Meghna & Rasikbhai have got gifts for everybody. On being insisted by Meghna, Dharamraaj makes Santu wear the necklace. Meghna also insists on seeing the jewelry & the gifts which Dharamraaj would have given him on their wedding. Meghna wishes to give the Prasad coconut to Kadambari but Tarulataben tells that she would give it to her. Meghna confirms from Tarulataben about Kadambaris willingness to marry Duggu on which Tarulataben assures her will saying that Kadambari will never disobey Dharamraajs will. In Madhos house, Hiten has made all the 100 mud glasses, Monghi is impressed at this & then both of them go to the market to sell the glasses. Hiten manages to sell all the glasses & all the villagers are surprised to see Hiten, Maaliks son selling glasses on road. Pinakin comes in disguise to the market & even buys a glass from Hiten. Kadambari wishes to go out of her house but Tarulataben stops her saying that she should stay at home in the presence of Meghna & Rasik. Meghna asks Santu to talk to Kadamabari & find out whether she is willing to marry Duggu or not. Dhaarmraaj gives some new clothes & jewelry to Santu for her to wear till the time Meghna & Rasik would be staying with them. Unknowingly, Santu keeps those clothes in Dharamraajs cupboard where Subhadras belongings were kept. She replaces Subhadras belongings with her own. Dharamraaj sees this & assumes that Santu is trying to take Subhadras place. He gets irate & warns her for that. At Madhos house, Hiten is trying to cope up with the living style of Madho & his family. Meghna insists that Dharamraaj & Santu should break the fast by eating together & sharing their food in a single plate. Santu overhears Dharamraaj talking to Baa about Madhos illness. Dharamraaj gets a call from Avinash Chaudhary (his rival) who informs him about the contract & how Virat helped him to get the contract. Dharamraaj gets infuriated on Virat & asks him to leave. At Madhos house, Monghi asks Hiten to give food to the cow as she is busy taking care of Madho who is unwell. Khemi also returns home & is frustrated with Hiten for killing their cow. She does not let him interfere in their daily chores & does not even let her enter their house. But Hiten gives Madhos medicine & then leaves. Birva prays to God & asks for blessings to pass with flying colors in her exams. Santu also prays for her. Dharamraaj asks Santu the reason for lying to Meghna. Santu tells him that she did not want to reveal about their fake relationship. At Madhos house, Monghi asks Hiten to mould 100 glasses soon. Hiten wants to wash his hands & Monghi unwillingly helps him in washing his hands. Hiten wishes to give some money for Madhos treatment but Khemi refuses to take it. But Monghi takes the money from him. Kadambari is in her dance class but is unable to pay attention on her dance. She is disturbed & is in a dilemma on how she would reveal about her wish of marrying Sandeep, son of Avinash Chaudhary who is Dharamraajs rival.
