
Demo of the Granger M20 Bantam Plexi amplifier. www.GrangerAmp.com for more specs, pricing, etc. The M20 Bantam Plexi is an all-tube, hand-wired, variable 1-20 watt output guitar amp. ClassicTone (Magnetic Components Inc.) transformers. Front panel controls/jacks are from LR: Mains (rotary) switch/VariWattage Level - Indicator - Bass - Mids - Treble - Presence - Volume (Gain) - Decade (60s, 70s, 80s) rotary switch - High and Low Z inputs. Rear panel controls/jacks are from LR: FX Loop Send & Return jacks - 2 speaker jacks - Impedance selector (4/8/16 ohms) - 2A fuse holder - AC Mains inlet. The power amp is cathode biased, running near Class A, so no bias adjustments are needed. The M20 can use many different octal tubes, including EL34, E34L, 6CA7, 6L6GC, 6V6, KT66, KT77, KT88. The recording was done using a 2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus and 1999 Fender Stratocaster, both plugged straight into the amp. The cabinet is a standard 4x12 made of 3/4" baltic birch loaded with 8 ohm WGS Green Berets, wired in series/parallel for 8 ohms. The mic is a Shure SM57, into a dbx386 mic pre, and recorded on a Roland VS-1680. Reverb and tape echo effects added at mixdown/conversion to wav file. Available to order September 1, 2011.
