Remembering Barbara

Dear Friends, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As you may know my younger sister Barbara suddenly passed away November 11th 2007 at the young age of 30. The cause of death was SUDEP which is; the Sudden Unexplained Death in someone with Epilepsy. Barbara was a loving kind person and always gave to those less fortunate than her. She also had a great appreciation for the outdoors and loved to hike. It was her wish to do a five hike challenge in three days this summer to raise funds for Epilepsy Ireland also known as Brainwave. Our family and friends while still in the midst of our grieving have decided that we will do this hike for her to support Brainwave in raising awareness of SUDEP and to encourage research in SUDEP in Ireland. I will be flying home to Ireland in June to meet with family and friends and the hike will take place on June 20/21/22. This is not something I'm doing for myself I'm doing it for Barbara, so any support you can give I am sure she would have really appreciated it. It is our hope that the funds will help prevent another family of suffering such a sudden loss. You can donate using the "sponsor me now" button below via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail from me thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.
