Lynn Blake- Barclay's Golf Academy 2008 Day 2
Lynn Blake, the renown authority of The Golfing Machine, conducted the Barclays Golf Academy at the Ridgewood County Club, the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs-Aug 2008. The Academy taught over 100 Barclays' clients each day during the indoor sessions and another 100 clients attended the outdoor short course classes. Each were overbooked and in high demand. Everyone left smiling and in awe of the instructors, Jeff Hull, Ted Fort, Rob Noel and Bill Castner and Lynn "Yoda" Blake.

Lt. Reginald Barclay is smarter and more imaginative than almost anyone around him, but he doesn't deal well with people which results in Lt. Barclay being constantly underestimated. Most actors could not pull this kind of acting job off convincingly, but Dwight Schultz makes it look easy. In this episode Lt. Barclay comes up with a radical new theory to communicate through subspace using a micro worm hole to halfway across the galaxy where the starship Voyager was taken; in spite of a boss who puts down his imaginative ideas. How many of us have had such a boss? Gene Roddenberry's vision for humanity in the Star Trek universe was that man would accomplish great things in spite of our own shortcomings and flaws (and the flaws of others). No one personifies Gene's vision better than Lt. Barclay. Season 6 Episode 10.
