With their sweet yet powerful songs, Joy Williams and John Paul White have an electrifying intimacy that you don't often see in the music industry these days. Tipped to do great things back in early 2011, we e-met The Civil Wars through a mutual friend (shout out to Mike... cheers bud!) and then watched in awe as the world quickly fell in love with Joy and John Paul. Fast forward through two global tours supporting Adele, countless TV performances and appearances and now two nominations for Best Folk Album and Best Country Duo Group Performance at this year's Grammy's. And still Joy and John Paul perform together like they're the only people in the room. The Civil Wars were forged together following a songwriting workshop in 2008 where a bond was formed in their natural magnetism towards each other.
