Some spontaneous jamming on my new KSD-705. This time I played over a B-minor tonality because I wanted to try some slapping on the open B-String to hear how it's sound blends with the other strings. Well, I like it ;-) I made up a rough backing-track and recorded the first take, so no groundbreaking playing here, just some improvisation with all the mistakes and imperfections. The audio part was recorded to Harddisk with Cubase. The Zoom B2.1u was used as an Audio Interface and for some compression on the Bass-Signal. The drums were programmed using some drum-samples I made, the pad-sound comes from a VST-Plugin. During Mixdown some Reverb was added. Comments are appreciated!

This is Josh and I jamming on the first 8 bars of Autumn Leaves, I had so much fun playing on this one, just a bunch of spur of the moment ideas, Josh's solo is really great in this one too. We forgot to bring an amp and that piano is really loud, but hopefully you can hear the bass. During the solo I tried to play softer but seriously that piano is like the piano equivalent of a foghorn. Just a quick update, Justin and I have been busy applying for jobs so we've been chilling and putting music to the side for a little while, though we are still playing and teaching, and Josh is going to play bass for UCLA next year, so congrats to him! Oh YEAH and if you can, someone please teach me how to crop those black lines out on iMovie 08!!!!
