Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the very first game that I owned when my step-dad bought me a Playstation 1 way back in 1995, literally 15 years ago; Battle Arena Toshinden. Toshinden 1 will forever go down as one of my all-time favorite fighting games that I ever had the pleasure of playing, and for good reason. It was one of the first of its kind; one of the first 3D fighters ever made and the very first fighting game for said system. It had a memorable cast and for a time the game was one of the PS1's choice games. That is until the likes of Tekken and Soul Blade came around... Nevertheless Toshinden had a great run, although I personally say the very first game was the best out of all 4 games (yeah, I personally played all 4 games of the series, even the 4th, which was Japan exclusive). The game played so much smoother in the 1 game, despite the very small graphical and gameplay tweaks the later games had. It just screams retro all over it, and I always wanted to do a visual run of the game, and so here it is. This is not a ROM of the game, either. Classic Game Room HD reviews BATTLE ARENA TOSHINDEN REMIX from Takara for the Sega Saturn released in 1996. This 3D style fighting game is sufficiently cheesy with awful writing, voice dialog and music to make it sufficiently hilarious. Who needs a real story and acting in a fighting game?? Not me, give me cheesy and serve it up with a side of bad polygon cleavage. Battle Arena Toshinden is a weapons based fighting game where you can pick from numerous characters and roll around the arena in a 3D style, wow! Somewhat awkward by today's standards... in fact really awkward by comparison to modern fighters, but still playable and entertaining.

A small patch engineered to re-enable some of the skills that CPUs don't ordinarily use. Oddly enough, the structure of both Hayate's and Naga's SX skills seem to suggest that they were originally intended to use them, but for some reason their range flag was set to zero making them unable to do so. While Hayate doesn't use her SX very often in this video, the two of them will usually use their SX skills pretty frequently giving them a bit more variety to their attacks. Nanoha STS, Fate and Sakura's SX skills were all explicitly flagged for no CPU use. For Sakura and Fate this is understandable. However, setting the use flags for those two to defensive, will cause them to only use their transformations after being shot at. It doesn't hurt their defensive capabilities too much as they will often just use their normal shield instead, and it happens infrequently enough that it isn't a problem during battle either. Nanoha's SX skill was changed to general use like all her other skills. She loses HP a little bit faster than the rest of the characters, but the extra strength she gets - particularly when she uses her SZ skill - seems to balance it out. Download link: www.dropbox.com

This is my first PBA entry - Romollo (My PBA warrior) Vs. Stealth (Exterminator's PBA warrior). It's also my first 24 FPS work, and I don't think there will be any going back to 18 FPS. My warrior, Romollo, has huge, hard overgrown fists with spikes that fall off when he so chooses. He can also grapple walls and ceilings with them if he still has them. Romollo's enemy this time, Stealth, is Exterminator's creation. He is quite intelligent and has the ability to teleport anywhere at any time, provided he can concentrate.
