Galaxy Instruments has released Galaxy Vintage D, a virtual grand piano based on samples of a vintage Steinway D, a true legend of its class. This Steinway D was built in 1920 in Hamburg in the German factory of Steinway & Sons and finally found its way to Bauer Studios, one of the oldest and most acknowledged recording studios in Germany. Sie treffen sich in einer Musik AG und singen und tanzen Schulbuchgedichte, die Lehrer Peter Hömseder vertont hat. Gudrun Weiler drehte gemeinsam mit Grundschülern und Kammerorchester einen Videoclip zum Päp Räp. "Für mich sind vor allem die Kontraste reizvoll - zum ersten natürlich die Generationsunterschiede, zum zweiten der Gegensatz Klassische Musik - die oft als steif und elitär wahrgenommen wird - und auf der anderen Seite die ausgelassenen Kinder, die sich ganz auf das Projekt einlassen." Der Grundschulrap erzählt aus dem Alltag der Grundschüler, das weltbekannte Stuttgarter Kammerorchester begleitet die Grundshüler musikalisch. In den Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg entstand im April 2011 eine CD des Grundschul Päp Räp. "Das Lied und die gemeinsame Arbeit an den CD- und Film-Projekten stärkt das Selbstbewusstsein der Schüler. Text und Inhalt des Päp Räps wurden bewusst so ausgelegt, dass auch Schüler anderer Grundschulen das Lied mitsingen können", erklärt Lehrer und Projektleiter Peter Hömseder. Die CD ist für fünf Euro in den Bauer Studios oder an der Gustav-Sieber-Schule erhältlich, für acht Euro in Briefmarken kommt sie auch per Post nach Hause. Der Verkaufserlös fließt in weitere musikalische Schulprojekte.

The radiant, elegant swing these master musicians elicit from the most straightforward of grooves is indicative of a deep spiritual intimacy going back some 20-plus years, when the Californian trumpeter and the New Orleans drummer helped Ornette Coleman to flesh out his innovative style of collective improvisation.
