Our second rescue from beagles who have lived their entire lives inside a research laboratory. These beagles have known nothing except the confines of metal cages. They have known no soft human touch, no warm bed, no companionship, no love. They have never been outside or sniffed a tree or grass. Finally, after years of being poked and prodded, these beagles are FREE! ARME got the call that a facility was willing to release them to us after they had been used in several tests. We picked them up on June 8th and now they are all in loving foster homes, and one has already been adopted. This is my Beagle breaking out of his pen. -edit Wow, it has been awhile since I have read through the comments. Some of you people need to take a chill pill before you reply. You should know the facts before you make random negative comments. I have almost an acre fenced in with cattle fence and it is backed up with an invisible fence. I have the small pen because I was using it while conditioning the litter. You know getting them use to different environmental WHILE keeping them safe. Those were the two pups I kept out of the litter so they are a little bigger. The problem is they were still small enough to climb through the cattle fence and too young to start invisible fence training. I let them run around a bunch while I was outside watching them but I wasn't ready for them to come inside, so they were put in the pen. If you don't have anything nice to say please don't comment. We received our new leaf blower and were trying it out when Lucy decided she was going to try and eat all the air coming out! The blower sound was so loud and annoying youtube offered songs up to replace the noise, I ended up on TheFringe by Kurtis Blow (Boze Kids), cause of the Blow in the name & it looked silly like she was rapping. I had no idea little Lucy's video would be viewed so much- thanks everyone. Of course no animals were harmed here, in fact she loves eating at air- whether it's the hair dryer, out the car window, or the leaf blower. Enjoy! Want to see more of this & with another song? On December 23, 2010, ARME rescued two Beagles from a medical testing laboratory. These dogs had never seen the outdoors, walked on grass or felt a gentle touch. Yeah I know, why the hell did I do this? Well I was going through the 13 years between Magical Mystery Tour's release on December 8, 1967 and John Lennon's death on December 8, 1980 and, knowing that Hotel California was released exactly 9 years into those 13 years on December 8, 1976, started wondering if maybe there was some sort of connection between Hotel California and Revolution Number 9. I already knew of a connection to John Lennon in each song; Hotel California mentions his name 3 times when played in reverse, and the "Hold that line, Block that kick" in R#9 seems connected to Howard Cosell's announcement of Lennon's death on the air on December 8th, 1980 while New England was lining up to kick a field goal. Magical Mystery Tour was also released on the same date as Their Satanic Majesties Request from the Stones and in the Magical Mystery Tour booklet, has the picture of John Lennon in front of the sign stating "M&D Co. is the way to Go", which happens to be the initials of Mark David Chapman (MDC) and is supposedly a Funeral parlor in England. What got me really interested though was reading Snopes debunking of Hotel California and Satanism and their happening to reference Elmer McCurdy while talking about the Hotel California back cover. Viva TV Spain's presenter Simon Baldock in a short clip from the story of 41 beagles who were saved from a testing lab in Barcelona, Spain and flown to the USA to be rehomed. The Little Pod foundation, which cares for lost, abandoned and mistreated animals on the Costa Blanca were made aware that a Laboratory in Barcelona was closing and the dogs needed to be re-homed or face being put down. Marie Stacey from Little Pod said, "As soon as we heard the news about the dogs we started circulating pleas for homes immediately via Facebook and to our amazement an Association in America called the Beagle Freedom Project offered to take all the dogs." The Beagle Freedom Project has chartered a plane which will fly the dogs to America where the charity will take over their rehabilitation and eventually re-home them. The American Kennel Club was formed for the protection and advancement of purebred dogs. The AKC have adopted bylaws, rules and regulations to govern SPO Field Trials. SPO Field Trial consists of four classes 13" Males 15" Males 13" Females 15" Females Each class consists of packs that are randomly drawn. Packs can not exceed more than seven dogs. The winners pack can contain nine dogs or less. The Beagle is to find game, to pursue it in an energetic and decisive manner and to show determination to account for it. Two judges evaluate the performance of each hound. Hounds are judged upon the following qualities, searching ability, pursuing ability, accuracy in trailing, proper use of voice, endurance, adaptability, patience, determination, independence and cooperation. Faulty actions include quitting, backtracking, ghost trailing, pottering, babbling, swinging, skirting, leaving checks, running mute, tighness of mouth, racing, running hit or miss, lack of independence, and bounding off. After the judges make a final decision, hounds are awarded rosettes or ribbons. Trophies are optional. Hounds also accumulate championship points according to how they place. First prize-Blue Rosette-1 point for each starter. Second prize-Red Rosette-1/2 point for each starter.
