US Army Airborne School, Fort Benning, GA

The United States Army Airborne School — widely known as Jump School — conducts the basic paratrooper (military parachutist) training for the United States armed forces. It is operated by the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 507th Infantry, United States Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Georgia. The Airborne School conducts the Basic Airborne Course, which is open to soldiers of both genders from all branches of the US Army, its sister services, and allied military personnel. The purpose of the Basic Airborne Course is to qualify the volunteer (all students volunteer for this school) in the use of the parachute as a means of combat deployment and to develop leadership, self-confidence, and an aggressive spirit through mental and physical conditioning. The course is three weeks long and consists of "Ground Week", "Tower Week" and "Jump Week". Rigorous physical training (PT) is emphasized throughout the entire course. The initial entry PT test consists of the standard Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). All age groups must pass this test using the 17-21 age group standards. The pullup requirement was lifted in October 2006.

Fort Benning Incident Proves UFO's Existance (1 APRIL 2011)

SOURCE: www.latest-ufo-sightings.net Don't believe in UFOs? Command Sergeant Major James Norton has proof. Norton, was a buck sergeant at Fort Benning, Georgia at the time of the incident. The date is one Norton will never forget, September 14, 1977. Norton and approximately 1300 troops were trying out their new weapons systems (JAW) when something unexpected happened. They were performing a live fire around midnight and then orbs suddenly appeared out of nowhere into the night sky. The soldiers opened fired, lasers started crisscrossing through the sky, explosions were going off and military helicopters suddenly appeared. There was an order of "cease fire" and then Norton and his fellow soldiers saw it, a triangle shaped UFO sat hovering in the night sky. The next thing Norton remembers is that he is in the middle of the woods. He doesn't know how he got there or remember going to the range. He had a burn on his body that seemed to come from an unknown red substance. When he returned to the base he and many of the soldiers fell ill with very high temperatures. There are lapses in his memory of the incident that he cannot remember. Norton says he attended hypnosis sessions to find out what had happened to him. During one of these sessions, it was recorded that he was abducted by the UFO and his body was probed and samples taken by these unidentified beings. Almost immediately after the incident happened, the military began its cover up. The soldier were instructed to say ...

This is a series of videos I took in April 2009 at Fort Benning Georgia. I was stationed here for a while at the 177th Aviation Helicopter Company for OJT just before being sent to southeast Asia(RVN) years ago. Lost a few friends over there. Fort Benning has changed a lot but a lot remains just as I remembered It. It was a real blast out of the past to say the least. My old barracks are still there.

My Army Reception Station Story / Ft Benning

For more info, or to join the California Army National Guard visit www.iguardcalifornia.com or for TIPS TO SURVIVE ARMY BASIC TRAINING visit http Basic training is designed to do three basic things: to break you down; to instill, in the absence of individuality, a feeling a being part of a whole and to build you back up, both physically and mentally. When you graduate from Army Basic Training, you feel part of a greater whole. You learn to depend on your fellow soldiers and you do your best to make sure that they rely on you. This is the purpose of your first eight weeks in the Army. Surviving Army boot camp is easier if you know what you are getting into ahead of time. The Army Reception Center will be your first introduction to Army life. In the reception station, you will get your Army haircut, your basic issue of clothing, your immunizations and the start of your Army 201 file (your Army records folder). Plan to be in the reception area between two and three days. They will allow you little sleep and will keep you moving. Expect to be yelled at; this is done to remind you that you are now Army property. Don't let them wear you down. Everyone gets the same treatment. After reception, you will be taken to your basic training company. There you will meet your drill instructor. This will not be a pleasant experience, but don't take it personally. If your drill instructor screams in your face and makes you do what seem to be a million push-ups, they are really not harassing ...

Fort Benning Alpha 2-47 FTX Hooah J man!!!

Thanks to Alpha 2-47 Co Infantry for footage www.aco2-47inf.com The guys returning from FTX.....what a wonderful greeting......I'm so proud!!! A Field training exercise, generally shortened to the acronym "FTX", describes a highly coordinated and well planned exercise conducted by military units for training purposes. Field training exercises are usually practice "mini-battles" which provide fairly realistic scenarios and situations based on actual situations a unit might face if deployed. While squad and platoon sized units can conduct an FTX, most of these exercises involve units ranging from a company up to a regiment or brigade. The history of the "Punch Bowl" ceremony has become obscured with time. Legend has it that during the years of the Westward expansion, Cavalry Troopers would share their spirits with one another thereby insuring that all fellow troopers had something to drink. The alcoholic spirits usually consisted of whatever an individual troopers taste was, and that when mixed with other alcohol created a powerful drink known as "GROG". The camaraderie developed over the decades, and the various wars and campaigns provided the rare opportunity to share "liberated" spirits with each other. Todays "GROG" or punch bowl ceremony is a symbolic reflection of this age-old tradition.
