2004 Electronica/Dance/Synth-Pop single from the German Electronica duo Tube & Berger, featuring vocals by American singer/songwriter Chrissie Hynde. The track was co-written by Liz Winstanley, Marko Vidovic and Arndt Rörig and produced by King Brain. "Straight Ahead" is best known for its tweeky synthesizer melodic sound and a computerized female vocal (provided by Winstanley) chanting the chourus "...Straight Ahead...In All Direction..." throughout the entire song. Avant tout, il faut se rappeler qu'à l'origine Max Emil von Stephanitz, le père du berger allemand, avait dans l'idée de créer une race différente de ce qui existait à la fin du XIX ème siècle, un chien bon et beau à la fois, qui saurait relever le défi de la polyvalence. Il partit à l'époque de deux types de chiens de berger très opposés mais complémentaires pour finir par obtenir ce que nous connaissons aujourd'hui. Là où Von Stephanitz fût particulièrement visionnaire, c'est que contrairement aux autres cynophiles de l'époque, il comprit que seule une sélection rigoureuse basée sur les qualités de caractère et de morphologie, deux critères aussi primordiaux l'un que l'autre, pourraient permettre l'utilisation optimum de son chien mais qu'il ne fallait pas non plus négliger le coté esthétique. Un siècle plus tard, le patrimoine est intact : son berger allemand réussit la prouesse d'allier en toute harmonie une belle anatomie et un caractère sûr au service du travail.
