It's been a while since I've done a solo video, and a lot of you have been asking for some classic rock and stuff. I thought I'd try to cover a lot of your requests in a compilation video of my 25 best guitar riffs (in no particular order!). I wanna note a couple of things for anyone who's reading this.. So this is my list of the 25 best guitar riffs. Don't hesitate to let me know what I may have missed. By best, I don't mean most difficult or anything like that; I mean the 25 most recognizable guitar licks that I could think of. Everything is recorded live, and I'm not playing over any of the original tracks. I use backing tracks that I've found in various places on the Internet. I do all of the guitar playing you hear, even if you don't see the video. Oh, except for the second guitar in The Trooper, and the rhythm guitar in Thunderstruck. Those came with the backing tracks :) The sound is recorded into Garageband, the video is recorded into iMovie, and then I sync them later. So, as usual, I apologize for anything that's slightly out of sync. Alright well you all know what to do.. If you like what you see, please show your friends. That'd mean a lot to me. Two best guitar players EVER!! Finally, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford together jamming!! TONE, TASTE, and STYLE... CRAZY Stuff!! TONE, TONE, TONE!!! I know the whole best guitarists thing is a matter of opinion... but how else was i supposed to get you to watch the vid?? These guys are what you call "Musicians' Musicians." 90% of the well known, professioal guitarists will point to one of these guys as being the best there is.. Look it up there is no BS here... That's it, I've had enough. The guitar as an instrument, and it's usage in the Rock and Metal genres, has come a long way over the past half century. And every decade since the 50's has had it's fair share of larger-than-life icons for the world to worship. The word is not 'appreciate', its worship, idolize. The half-smashed half-naked half-wits at Woodstock '69 didn't just enjoy Jimi Hendrix, they went abso-*insert swear word of choice*-lutely fanatic! Same goes for Santana and Kirk Hammet. But it doesn't stop there, this overwhelming fanaticism passed on from one generation to the next, to the next. One person said 'Jimi is God', the next repeats, and the next, until everyone feels obliged to say he's the greatest even though they have NO idea about what's happened in the world of Rock since 1960! If you do a quick search on the greatest guitarists you'll get a list of folks who were famous mostly between 1960-1990. What happened after that? Did no guitarist do anything great in the past 20 years? Or did these guitarists just lose credibility to the so-called legends? I'm personally sick of it. Sick of these age-old names coming up in the context of Modern Guitar. Sick of seeing these dead and gone guitarists steal thunder from their obviously superior contemporaries. I will not stand another Jimi, or Slash or Santana or Kirk or Dave or Page comment. They maybe the most influential guitarists in history, but that's only because the guitarists of today are only still in <b>...</b>
