A short review of my latest purchase, the Croozer, Cargo Trunk Trailer. I intend to use this for some bicycle touring, and to get groceries.

1.1-mile ride on May 8, 2011 (36 hours before flood crest): from Court Square, down Main Street Mall to Peabody Plaza & Pembroke Square, around Gayoso House, past AutoZone & The Pier, onto the Bluffwalk (with views of the Mississippi River flooding Riverside Drive), down to the Beale Street Landing trolley stop. There should be a Part 7 (but my Flipcam ran out of memory), which would show the final 1.6-mile leg of our ride (for a total of 11.3 miles): continuing down the Bluffwalk to Vance Park, past the Riverbluff Condos, to Butler Park, through South Bluffs, past the Lofts, the Tennessee Brewery, & Spaghetti Warehouse, then back up Wagner to where we started in front of AutoZone.

Hoi An Free Tour is run by local university student community who offer free bicycle tour to unexplored countryside in Hoi An such as Kim Bong Village, Tra Que Vegetable Village and Cam Thanh Water Coconut Palm Village. You can bike around villages and see stunning rural scenes, rice paddies, fishing villages, fields of water buffalo and Bamboo Bridge. You can stop by and interact with local residents. You will learn and get many insights of Vietnamese countryside which are never written on any guide book. Sasha shows you how to replace a bike tube, no hassles. In this vid we are dealing with a presta valve, but it also works with schroeder valves. You will need some tire levers which you can pick up for a few bucks at any bike shop and a bike pump, you don't need an air compressor. First thing you have to do is get a flat tire, could happen at any time, preferrably not too inconvenient. Then you need to break the seal with between the bead of the tire and the hook of the rim with the tire lever. You can place one and then lever it up or place two and lever them both at the same time. Then pull the rest of the tire off the rim. Then install the new tube with a little bit of air in it so it won't twist once you put the tire back on. Now you can use the tire levers like a wedge to pry the tire back onto the rim. Make sure to not pinch the tube, that's trouble. If you have a presta valve make sure to screw the nipple shut and then put the lock ring back on, but not too tight.
