This will work on any ipod touch or iphone (3GS and 3G). For 3GS users, blackra1n RC! will hacktivate it for you. You have to be on the 3.1.2 firmware which is now installed on all brand new iPhone 3GSs. It also a free download for all ipod users. However, for the 3rd Gen ipod touch users, it is only tethered jailbreak. What that means is that when ipod touch dies, you will need to plug it in to your computer and run blackra1n to reboot it. Steps: 1. Download blackra1n from blackra1n.com 2. Select the corresponding platform (Windows or Mac) 3. Click Download so you will always have it on your computer for easy access 4. Click on the blackra1n icon and click make it ra1n once the program opens. (Make sure your ipod touch/iPhone is connected and recognized by iTunes and is on the 3.1.2 firmware) 5. Your device will jailbroken in a matter of seconds and you will receive a message on your computer screen saying the jailbreak was successful. Your device will now reboot. 6. Once the device reboots, a blackra1n app will be on your springboard. Click on it and click on Cydia and Rock which the programs that allow you to get third party apps. 7.
