The becker chopper! I'm going camping, so what better excuse than to buy this right? Some say it makes a great camp knife, able to multi task readily. I think this is highly preferential tho and the only way to be certain is to experiment. It's still a good bit of work chopping with this knife. I should get an axe to compare. But the weight distribution seems nice, and I found the handle to be comfy. For 70 bucks, like all Beckers knives, it's a great value.

While Camillus Cutlery is sadly no longer in business, this venerable Combat Survival Knife is still in production by Ka-Bar. This is an excellent setup for the money and I recommend this or something like this to anyone! Also, near the end I have a brain fart and can't explain why I might recommend this setup over an ESEE Junglas, but it's because this setup is cheaper. I don't know why I couldn't think of it at the time, but I failed.
