varmadesign.is/blik The Clothes Blik is a knitwear collection for women and men designed by Laufey Jónsdóttir for Varma Design. Laufey graduated from the fashion department at Iceland Academy of the Arts in the spring of 2007 and Blik is her first collection to go into production. Varma is the largest producer of knitted goods in Iceland that utilizes one of the most organic materials available, Icelandic wool. The collaboration combines a fresh perspective with decades of experience. The Film In this microfilm the aim was to capture the production process from the point of view of the machines themselves and giving them a sense of autonomous life. The music is created from the sounds captured from the machines and woven together into a mechanical language. Insomnia DOES things to ya. This whole video was done in one five-hour sitting - granted, I've had the idea swirling in my head for a while, but it took one five-hour sitting to go from a blank WMM screen to what you're seeing on your screen. I just had to get this stupid idea out before it ate my brain. I've had this song stuck in my head for about a month now, since hearing it in a Death Note AMV at Otakon, and I suppose it's high time I provided my own Catscratch themed take on it, eh? I know it's a pretty vulgar song, but... that's why the warning's there. Don't whine if you end up corrupted for life after watching this. ...OK, special permission is granted to whine about the frat boy line and accompanying clip. That's just wrong even by my standards. *shudder* Yes, I know I've casted Katilda as a male character here, but even though Gary Coleman from Avenue Q (yes, that Gary Coleman) is male, the actor is always female. So it's still a female voice. So LOOPHOLE. ...and yeah, Blik got the Muppet parody voice... I'm mean... This video just isn't one of my finest moments all around, but I still think parts came out pretty funny. I will admit, however, that it nosedives toward the end - MAYBE the clips with everyone laughing at Blik fit the schadenfreude theme well enough, maybe it makes sense, but I'll admit that Katilda's last clips are basically "I've used pretty much every clip with her talking and smiling in it, why'd she only get two episodes, WHY WHY WHY" I notice <b>...</b>

In de vorige aflevering hebben we al een kijkje genomen bij de Koninklijke Landmacht. In deze aflevering keren we terug en volgen deze keer de speciale voertuigen van de Landmacht. Op het eigen oefenterrein worden enkele speciale off-road situaties geoefend. Ook de Koninklijke Marechaussee kunnen we op dit mooie terrein tegenkomen. Om hun motorfiets te allen tijde onder controle te kunnen houden wordt hier geoefend. Dat is belangrijk omdat ze speciale bevoegdheden hebben als ze zich op de openbare weg bevinden. Je ziet de Marechaussee op de motorfiets vaak bij het begeleiden van bijvoorbeeld waardetransporten en militaire colonnes

Bastiaan, Sander, Jean-Paul en Piebe creëerden met 'Blik' niet alleen een ontroerende, maar ook een bijzonder knap gemaakte animatiefilm. De technische mogelijkheden van het medium worden volop benut en optimaal ter ondersteuning van de karakteranimatie ingezet.

De Koninklijke landmacht heeft veel te maken met vrachtwagens en ander groot- en zwaar materieel. Hiervoor zijn speciale rijvaardigheden nodig en de landmacht heeft hier een eigen opleiding voor met zelfs een heel eigen opleidingsterrein van 124 hectare. Soms zijn deze voertuigen ook op de openbare weg te zien. Het verplaatsen gebeurt met name wanneer men zich verplaats van de thuisbasis naar een oefenterrein of naar de locatie voor het inschepen naar het buitenland. Wanneer militaire voertuigen zich over de openbare weg verplaatsen gebeurt dat meestal in een militaire colonne.
