A great plane, but with the rcommended 2200mah 3cell lipo we had only about a 3 minute flight before the battery went down and a tough crash ensued.... I tried to get is back in one piece...but it stalled at the end. Here's a quick look at the Super F35 with Vector Thrust I bought from Banana Hobby. It's 10:30pm and I just finished putting it together so I haven't flown it yet. It's well built and not too heavy. I'll film the maiden flight this weekend. Wish me luck!

Robert was taking his BlitzRCWorks F16 out for a flight on April 30th 2011 and I just had to video tape it .. Check it out!!! Robert flies in the same field as I do and he has a nice collection of EDF jets. This one is a "5 CH BlitzRCWorks Gray BZ-16 Pro 3D Thrust Vectoring" Aerobatic Electric Ducted Fan Fighter Jet. He told me he got it from Banana Hobby. Im not personally familiar with them but I have seem some interesting reviews online. I have never flown any EDF planes yet, but I gotta say it was awesome to watch! Once Robert got this baby up in the air it took off... this thing was fast! The sound is classic EDF and the F16's Thrust Vectoring feature allowed him to do some nice aerobatics... I tried to keep up with him in the video as much as I could!!!... This F-16 is nice looking, detailed and features 800mm (31.5 in) wingspan. He told me he basically upgraded everything from the motor to additions of spars for extra support... For a radio he used his Spektrum dx6i 6 Channel 2.4GHz....Hope you enjoy this clip and Thanks for watching! If you're interested in getting into this hobby my recommendation from my own experience would be to use a simulator and find a trainer that can easily be fixed (you will crash a time or two when you start learning)...I personally used the Flyzone Sky Fly Max from Tower Hobbies... great plane to learn on and you can watch a clip of it in my videos... Once you get comfortable with orientation and the controls you can easily move to <b>...</b>

The F-14 Tomcat is famous for it's swing wing design that allows for the plane to increase speeds. This f- 14 arrived from Bananahobby with a 3S, wouldn't put out enough power so we went with the Thunderpower 2200mah 4S. The fight time was only 1 1/2 minutes and the components were HOT! It has pleanty of speed with a 4S but may not be made for it... my RCG name is macdaddy1199. PM me with tips. :)

Pilots this is my pre-flight test of the Bltz RC Works BH P-51D Mustang, my only trouble was a vert. stab. nut was incorrect, should have been M3, and they installed a M2.5, so you could not screw the vert stab in with both M3x50 screws. I just removed the plastic piece holding the nut and removed the M2.5 nut and replaced with M3, all good. The only other minor thing was the instruction booklet is useless! but its a great plane, and huge. If you're building this plane I would take care when inserting the wooden spar that holds the wings together, in hind sight I would apply a little paraffin and insert in each wing separately, then piece together, I almost broke my wing trying to force them together, so be careful!

Dustin's 11/21/2010 Flight with the 5 CH 2.4GHz BlitzRCWorks Art-Tech Jolly Roger F-14 Tomcat 55 mm EDF. Dustin received the plane a week earlier and this was his 4th flight. At then end, he demonstrates an excellent landing. The flight took place at the GRAMS RC field. There was only one problem with the plane. During bench testing the wing swing servo blew and had to be replaced. In another video, we ran some speed runs crossing pylons at 50 feet apart. The best runs were at 79 MPH with a tail wind. This is the Yak 54 from bananahobby.com. This video is of the stock setup. Great flying 3D plane, we since put in a much more powerful motor and esc and it at least doubled the speed and the verticals are incredible. The important thing is to keep your CG in the same spot. Very nice plane for intermediate to advanced pilots looking to work on 3D stuff.

Pilots this is a what's in the box of Bananahobby's BlitzRCworks EPO 1600mm P-51D Mustang. This bird looks insane-- I'd say off hand its better then the FMS P-51, it has rear retract, Nav lights, and forward rake on the main gear and cool box graphics for what its worth! Detail is very nice on this 'Gunfighter' color scheme.

Gabriels first stab at tackling a fighter jet EDF. These planes are extremely manueverable and can reach some outlandish speeds for being so small. I fly the F-18 50mm edf and it is a fast beast. Gabriels flight was cut short due to a possible defective battery that was supplied with his plane. The battery was fully charged and ready to go before we left for this flight. For some reason, when we got this plane in the air, the battery started to die!

BlitzRC Pitts Special ATF foam Biplane. From being in the hobby a few years back (20) I changed the aileron push rods to 256 rod and added metal clevis and on the upper aileron I added Dubro Kwik-Grip EZ connector to eliminate the Z bend. Z bends are too sloppy and can allow for flutter. I also increased the throw on the ailerons/elevator/and rudder for more aerobatic maneuvers although this video is quite tame, I have one that will make you airsick. You can open up the rear compartment some and get a 2200 mAh battery pack to fit standing up but on an angle towards the front battery compartment. I flew with the 1800 mAh battery for 12 minutes and measured the voltage on each cell and it was only down to 3.81 so I believe I could fly for another 3 to 5 more minutes. Also put a Master Airscrew 10-7 prop which gave a little more vertical performance over the stock 10-4.7 prop. Main landing gear is too spongy so heading to hobby shop for some piano wire and small spring. Tail wheel wire not stiff enough so you have to get the tail off the ground real soon or you will spin around. I will be changing that also. Other than that, the plane handles great. I would NOT recommend this plane to the novice even though they advertize it on Banana Hobby site. This plane is for an experienced RC pilot. This is the Art Tech plane with all 4 ailerons that move.

Flight Demo and Review of this airplane. Overall very happy with it. Retracts were my only gripe but I've heard overs have had no problems with their landing gear. Like all new models the best improvements are done by the consumer.

REPOST - This video is about the JPower EPO Mini-F16 "Fighting Falcon" kit from HobbyKing. The fuselage was modified for a bigger Kyosho 55mm EDF fan with a Turnigy 4.5K 2610 EDF motor. The 2.4 ghz Corona 4 Ch rx was used with the Hitec Laser 6 DIY Corona 2.4 (works well on elevon mode!). Power from a 3S 20C 1300 Lipo with the CG at 60mm from the wing LE. The kit was easy enough to mod and build but I was very surprised on how tough EPO is. The wings/tail fins detached when I crashed without tearing the fuselage. You can see that in the crash videos (had more than one!). This is one great model to build. Because of its speed, it is definitely a challenge to fly even when trimmed. The BH EPO BlitzRcWorks Jpower Mini F-35 Lightning II is one beautiful and tough EDF model. I got the kit from BH and it flies well with the included stock 50mm EDF and BL motor. I put in a 40A HK ESC (w/ epoxied heatsink), Dubro hinges and controlled it with the HK GTR2 Rx/Turnigy 9x (9x module) combo. HD Welder Adhesive was used exclusively to glue all the parts together. No landing gears installed. The control linkages were modified to avoid binding and the paired Dubro hinges kept each elevator in place even after two bad crashes (he, he...). This flight was a test for the 3 Ch HK GT2R receiver/Turnigy 9x combo and it performed well at my normal flying distance and height. The Turnigy 9x settings for elevon mixing, aileron and elevator D/R - Expo are shown in the video. As with very fast EDF models this size, fly them close to avoid disorientation which can easily happen ... see my earlier mini F-16 crash video for a painful example. A 1000 mAh Nano-Tech 3S 30C Lipo will provide at least four minutes of air time and four minutes of absolute concentration is more than enough for older pilots like me. Die hard RC Fliers. We were at the field on December 18 2010 (Saturday) while it was snowing and cold. Dustin, Evan and I were there then Glen shows up with his gas powered Texan. Evan challenges Glen to a race with his new Mini FA/18E Super Hornet EDF. Evan has been flying RC planes for 3 months and this is his third flight with the Mini FA/18E Super Hornet. I was impressed that it flew so well and could fly rather slow with some nice glide time. There are lots of contrasts in this: o Young kid (13 yrs) vs Man (IDK over 40?) o New style jet (F18) vs old style plane (AT6) o Electric (EDF) vs gas/glow fuel o 2.4 GHz vs 72 MHz o Foam vs Balsa Due to starting problems the F18 was in the air 2 minutes before the Texan could get airborne. This is such a sweet plane, I am really impressed with it. It flies like a dream, did not need any trims at all. The twin props looks great and with a 2200mah batter you can expect around 8 minutes of fly time. Oh I am happy, I can't wait to fly this more! This is a great P-38 from Banana Hobby. It was a little touchy on take off but after trimming everything out she flew like she was on rails.At the end of the video the battery dumped so I had to belly land her ;( But she was ok just bent the landing gear. Finally!!!! I know you guys probably forgot about this plane but here it is in the successful maiden flight! This jet is smooth, stable, great looking, but a little under powered which is the only down side to this jet. Other than that I am very pleased I purchased this jet and would recommend this plane to anyone with mild edf jet experience. Pilots she's all built and ready to fly, Like mentioned in vid there were a few issues with this little beauty, 1) Packing was not secured, damage in shipping to nose and canard 2) Vert Stabs warped 3) Missing plastic piece under wheel strut 4) Missing screw/clip for foam fan housing cover 5) Fan blades scraped housing- had to remove and sand 6) The holes in the control horns are too big for the stoppers, they applied a little 'rubber glue' to make them look secure, after I moved them lower for more play they are loose because the holes are for a larger diameter stopper. Aside from that its' a beauty! I will fly this on a 3c 2200 mAh 11.1v-- stock is 1600 mAh, and using the 2200 I had to shave a little foam from the inside of the cockpit. Look for the maiden later today...

This video is the maiden flight of my Alpha Jet Pro that I got from Banana Hobby under the Blitz Works R/C name. If flew great and was very easy to fly once I got it trimmed. There has been a lot of talk on the forums about the wings falling off in flight so I made sure to get them on there as best as I could and not put it through too many high G maneuvers. This is an otherwise stock set up and it flies really well! Tons of power especially with the nip/tuck. Pilots as promised the maiden flight of the J-Power BlitzRCworks Mini Twin 50mm EDF Su-34. It was a little windy today and you can see the little Sukhoi being tossed at times, but she flew great. I was expecting a quieter ride but its loud! I think I flew for about 4.5 minutes on a 3c 2200 11.1v LiPo, and after flight it registered about 3.75v per cell. This is a very fun micro EDF-- I can't wait to fly again...

RC F117 Stealth Fighter Rebuild after Tree Impact and Crash. It took a little more than a day and a lot of patience. It looks really good, and I flew it yesterday and no worries, it flew like new, or at least I could not feel any difference in flight control. We tried a different motor and settings after doing some research on this jet. We had a lot of success and to be honest it was fun and challenging finding out what it was going to take to get this bird up in the air. After Joe figured out the throws on this jet and I figured out the type amount of force needed to hand launch this plane, we had a blast with it. It does have a 3 minute flight time limitation. As I flew it past the 3 minutes The battery drained very quickly and I had no control over it cause it to flat spin as it came down on a thick patchy bush which saved the plane. After a quick inspection and very little CA glue we flew it again for 2 more flights. We discovered that by give it a gentle guiding hand launch the jet would leave my hands and go out straight. Any hard toss seemed like the jet would torque right or left and as you'll see in the video if it wasn't for the high rates with plenty of expo at the beginning of the flight the jet would have been toast like the maiden flight we've shown.

Pilots the pre-flight is finally done, I had to replace the R flap servo which conveniently died shortly after I glue the fuselage together. I had to cut the top of the fusi to get access to the servo wires and now used mini rare earth mags to secure it. I was planning on this before I started and turns out I would need it sooner than I expected! Also with such limited space under the canopy I would suggest its a good mod on this plane as you can place the Rx there and dont have to worry about routing all the wires to the canopy area like I did... Because I have a 9 channel JR9503 I had to ditch the parachute, smoke bombs and ejection canopy for now because I wanted the TV on a switch, but since I ran all the wires up front I can change the set up easily-- could Y the L AIL, L ELEV, L TV and same for R side and Y the Rudder, Rudd TV and steering-- that way you save 3 channels for the chute, smoke and canopy release. In this config your TV is always on.

Well that maiden was successfull but there were many problems that needed to be delt with. One is there was not enough angle of attack for take off which is why it took so long for it to take off. Second it has the stall feeling when making turns, that is due because of the thrust vectoring always beeing on. Third is either the CG was off or a bad triming because if I let go of the sticks for even a second it would go for a nose dive. But it flew and thats the important part so here are some links if you want even more info!!!
