For the family of the " CBOM ", the inspiration is a composition when with it is to be sought some share on the side indicated. In this version I use only my CITTERN (Sobell) initially to record the rhythmic one with a capo with the 5th box, which enables me to present the solo into live to you. The tuning is as follows: EADG in tonality of D min. recently I made of it a version accordion in the " Finland " spirit but in another tonality (I am fan of the Scandinavian musics) others vidéos are available on my site web: riviere.auzeau.org

Here's a quick demo of my lovely Jack Spira Irish Bouzouki. Made in Australia back in '98. Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides, Sitka Spruce top. Ebony 'board, Mulga neck. Loaded with an AGA pick-up system. Guitar scale-length. I'm afraid I'm not much of a Bouzouki player but this demo gives those of you interested in Jack's workmanship an idea of how his Bouzouki can sound. Jack is an amazing builder and will work with you to create the right instrument for you. I have recorded this song as simply as I can but trying to keep it musical. It is a touch slower than it would normally be played. The hammers are a very important part of the bouzouki playing style and you have to synchronize accurately with the plectrum to be affective. I have uploaded a seperate file of just the backing for you to practice along to once learnt. Thanks.

Manolis Hiotis was an uttermost talented musician, whose dexterity was even praised by Jimmy Hendrix. He was also asked by Harry Truman to play in his birthday party with his Greek instrument. Τhe -then so called by Americans- "bazooka". A slight idea of his talent can someone enjoy in this clip, in which the one of a kind actor, Dinos Iliopoulos is trying to "beat" him with his tiny bouzouki- the baglamas. The result is hilarious! Needless to say, that both instruments are played by Manolis Hiotis. From the film of 1962, "O atsidas" (The wise guy)- directed by Yiannis Dallianidis.
