This was such an awesome experience, from learning this rad groove and getting to record it, seeing this whole song come together, right down to getting to know the guys better to the point of being able to call them my friends. I have been on YouTube long enough to know that many comments will negatively mention that this isn't just a drum cover, that the drumming isn't impressive enough, that I look like a convict with shorter hair.. but I've learnt that what is true is relevant, and what is speculated is not :) I'll always keep doing drum covers, some will be over the top, fun and entertaining.. and some will be more held back and expressive. I'm growing up, so is my musical approach, and so is my need to be less self-indulgent and more creatively expressive. Collaborations fit that mold perfectly, I want to do more..
