
Barkhamsted, CT- Over a hundred people turned out to partake in the Barkhamsted Republican Town Committee's Biannual fundraiser and cocktail party Monday night. Even with the steady rain, Republicans and Unaffiliated came out to enjoy lively speeches by keynote speakers Right Principle's Bob MacGuffie and AM talk radio host Dan Lovallo. Despite Linda McMahon's last minute cancellation, party goers enthusiastically embraced conservative and pertinent speeches from candidates Ann Brickley (US Congress -- 1), State Senator Kevin Witkos (8), State Representative candidate Bill Simanski (62) and Attorney General candidate Martha Dean's husband, Malcolm McGough, who spoke for her. Southington state representative candidate Rusty Haigh (81) was also present. Former and long serving state representatives Richard Ferrari (62) and Rob Heagney of Simsbury (16), as well as former 5th congressional candidates Mark Greenberg and Kie Westby, New Hartford's First Selectman Dan Jerram, Republican Selectmen William Downes of Barkhamsted and Ron Aubel of Colebrook were in attendance. Joining Barkhamsted Republican Town Committee's Chairman Juliana Simone was area RTC Chairs David Cappabianca of Winsted, Candace Jones-Pacholski of Harwinton, and Ron Aubel.
